This Rock Disco album was very underrated at the time I thought it was great especially “Magic Touch” and the phenomenal poster that came with the record!
Glad Paul sings better lyrics live and on the album compared to lyric lists available.... " ..and tonight, in the crowd, she'll be there. As she dances by you watch while your dreams fade away "
"You feel there's a fire burning', when she feels cold inside". No one else ever wrote such honest, autobiographical lyrics! Paul's mother was emotionally cold, and he always felt attracted by emotionally distant women. As soon as she gets emotional, he withdraws. He can't deal with being loved. Compare to "Shandi": "When you touch me, it ain't helping". But he longs for this "Magic Touch". A magically beautiful ❤️ song.
Another dime store, RU-vid, psychoanalyst. Jeez. Musicians write about Space Travel, Apocalyptic Wars, Satan, Murder, etc, etc. Rarely has the author experienced any such thing though they are all part of the human condition. Stop trying to play Sigmund Freud and apply the song to yourself without comically anal-yzing the songwriter.
@@georgecc Ignorant, didn't you read Paul's book?📖 He himself wrote✍️about his fascination for "cold" women! In the chapter about Pamela. And it has to do with his mother. When Carol Kaye promised she would stop dating the other guy, Paul had a panic attack. Because he could not love someone who loves him. Read Paul's book and learn more: from his psychiatrist!
