Sugarcoat by Natty is kinda her story. Homeless cuz she jumped from label to label, from JYP, to joining a survival show, to debuting solo, then back to being a trainee - its like everyday she's doing what she can to fulfill her dreams and that is to finally be in the stage that recognizes her talent. ❤

i was a BIG natty stan for yearss and this is literally everything i couldve wanted for her. the song is fire, the group is fire, the members are all incredibly talented as well. im just so obsessed with kiss of life now. i cant get enough, i hope they do well.

i think the coolest fact about kiss of life is that natty and julie are JYP and YG the black label, and belle worked under SM(not as a trainee, but for composing)! it really shows in their highlighted talents (natty's sharp dancing, belle's high notes, and julie's position as main rapper) and all three of them combine the individual talents from those companies together !!! haneul is a wild card too, i feel like she's showcased all 3 of those things well, im so excited to see where this group goes also, i deeply appreciate how much you paid attention to each music video and remembered details, thank you

you're probably hearing yg training in julie! she was a public trainee under the black label in 2019 if i remember correctly. Mutliple members have a hand in the production of the songs, but most namely Belle has credits on Bye My Neverland, Countdown and Shhh. She's also taken part in SM song writing camps, credited on le sserrafim's unforgiven, and produced "softly" and "charging" for miyeon, "find you" for purple kiss, "kitty" for kid milli AND she was the female vocal's on mark lee's child! a *really* impressive resume for someone who is just 19!

the "up, up up" and whistle notes and high notes with vibrato were all done by belle though haneul did do some adlibs as well. to be honest, all the members are super talented. like belle is actually the female vocals in mark's 'child', she composed and wrote for 'unforgiven' by le sserafim, and has a ton of other writing credits for other kpop groups/artists. i believe she and natty also contributed to the composing and writing process of the title track 'Shh', and she was the one who wrote and composed her solo song 'Countdown' pre-debut. julie and belle were both born in the us and are native english speakers, natty is thai but can also speak english fluently, and i think haneul is also practically fluent in english as well. also julie was indeed a yg trainee, but i think she had some sort of scandal at the time?? anyway, these girls are super talented so im already excited to see what their next comeback will be like.

Belle's solo was written by her when she was in highschool and she was part of the writing process for Le SSerafim unforgivin

The “up up up” for the pre chorus were actually all belle!! Andddd she was the one to do the vibrato with the high note at the end!! And the only other member shown in sugarcoat was hanuel with the blonde hair lol there were little like Easter eggs in each one

My first listen to Kitty Cat, i was like ''why this girl Julie sounds a lot like an YG rapper''. After some research a lot questions were clarified, TBL trainee, big talent 😎

If you noticed (at first anyway) in all the videos, the fireworks weren’t the only connection. The ballerina girl was watching the social media girl in her video, one of the members was standing in front of the store window when the blonde haired girl passed her up and walked in, and the party girl grabbed the audition paper that the first girl had. You should watch again because there was more. I do think it’s cool they literally put the performance video at the end though.

I just checked these girls out earlier this week and I was blown away by how much care was clearly put into the debut. not only did they get six videos but all the songs and videos are a great quality and I really do think they all stand out right away. I know everyone's name immediately so I will be watching them for sure.

Went and did some profile searching for the members and their skills just make sense when you learn where they've previously trained. For anyone that might like the info as well: >Julie (oldest, Leader)- trained in YG/Black Label. Explains her amazing rap skill! Is Korean-American >Natty (main dancer)- I mean if you've been a kpop fan for the last 10 years, you probably know who this girl is lol. Trained in JYP and even had solo activities at one point. . She's Thai. Idk what they put in them Thai waters but I need me some chile. >Belle/Anabelle (Main Vocal)- previously trained at SM. With a face and voice like hers, FREAKING DUH! She's also Korean-American. She has a lot of writing credits under her belt for song we already all know and love. Her dad is also a singer named Shim Shin. >Haneul (maknae and lead vocal)- I haven't heard anything about previous training but this girl is freaking talented. She's Korean. Fluent in English, Korean, and Japanese. Is freaking adorable. I mean look at that face! I've also heard that they all had a hand in writing, producing, and choreographing their work. These are some super rookies! All these ladies are hella talented and beautiful and I am looking forward to their success, especially Natty bc she's been fighting for the last decade! They remind me of the 2nd and 3rd gen groups like Sistar and EXID with their talent, beauty, stage presence and charisma. I'm so excited for them! Belle actually has some writing credits on some more known idols, she even has writing credits on Lesserafim’s Unforgiven.

I think Haneul's solo is overlooked but its probably the most relateable one for younger gen Cautionary tale of social media popularity, and how it brings unwanted attention and a lifestyle that is perpetuated by self-obsession

Kiss of Life: I think the solo before their debut is some of real life of them before. Natty (Thai): She came to Korea when she was 12 years old and debuted at Kiss of Life at 22 years old. So she took 10 years to be the Idol. I think she is Soyeon (Thai version) I mean she doesn't give up on the Idol. She was a JYP trainee for a very long time and participated in SIXTEEN (The show to form twice), She's a crazy performer, she beat Momo on SIXTEEN and made it to the finale and got the fan favorite in the competition but did not debut in the TWICE group. After that she went on Idol school a few years later, the show that formed Fromis 9, was rigged out of the final lineup, actually debuted before, releasing 2 singles as a soloist. But disappeared for 3 years, Now she's here! To be the main dancer of the group. Belle (Korean-American) : was a song writer for SM, she's a really great vocalist and she was also one of the song writers of 'Unforgiven' for Le Sserafim, Belle came from Seattle, won the "Proud Korean Grand Prize" at the 2023 Korea Best Brand Awards just 10 days after debut. She said she's got 1,000s of songs unreleased, things she has worked on with many different producers. She's the Main vocalist of the group. Julie (Korean-American) : was a Black Label (YG) trainee for 3 years and is a really good rapper, she's the Leader and Main rapper of the group. Haneul (Korean) : is the member with the least training time but she's already so talented, she composed 'Bye My Neverland', she's the Lead vocalist and Maknae of the group. Their debut music video revealed some VERY important information about their upcoming comeback. The title of their comeback is "BORN TO BE XX" and their fandom name is "KISSY". If you watch at 1:19 in the actual M/V you can spot the title of their comeback on the bathroom door. The tracklist is also displayed on paper on the walls at the same time stamp at1:23 in the actual, the paper includes five songs: "Kissy", "XX", "Messy","Born To Be XX", and "Red Bird".
