KISS OF LIFE's BELLE was credited as a composer for songs by MIYEON ((G)I-DLE), LE SSERAFIM and PURPLE KISS. She also provided background vocals for MARK's 'Child'.
Natty was also a solo artist prior to kiof, Haneul never trained at Hybe & kiof is striving to become fully self produced they participate in writing, choreography, styling & composing !! Their creative director is a former idol who trained with Natty. They have also worked with other brands like True religion, Ames, Zozotown, Levi’s & Natty is the brand ambassador of Le coq sportiff korea & Ponds korea. I agree with the thing about male gaze kiof is freedom as a women instead of being sexy to appeal to gen public they are just unapologetically themselves i love them so much !! 💘
I love Kiof!! I dont usually check out the newer groups too often bc they just keep getting younger and younger, but these girls quickly became a fave of mine. No skips in their discog so far!
I don’t know where to put this so I’m putting this here, but in the Midas touch mv, I noticed that each of their solo scenes at the beginning are a reference to famous Greek mythology ladies: Julie for Aphrodite (the heart), Natty for Arachnid (the spider web), Belle for Hera (The peacock) and Haneul for Medusa (the statues). All of them are either in a place of power or represent a form of power, Aphrodite being the goddess of Love, Hera the Queen of gods, while Medusa and Arachnid have been hurt by men (aka Zeus) and are symbols of feared animals as a result. So all the members represent powerful ladies in the mv, a nod that most people wouldn’t get apart from Medusa :)

Favorite song might be 'Says It' from Born to be XX mini album. My bias changes with the weather😅 Fun fact: Julie's mother is a fashion designer so Julie is also into fashion and during a debut interview mentioned Belle would always borrow(steal) her clothes 😂 Thank you for reacting to them, I'm so glad you're fan!
Hello! Sorry but kiof didn't come from big 4 companies bahahqha they're just rumors but turned out to be false Julie - EX TBL trainee Natty - EX JYP and SM trainee Belle - just worked as SM composer Haneul - is just S2 trainee not hybe
Love this series already can't wait for more! KIOF are so different and these grown concepts are sending me! They are so diverse in their sound and so western influenced I love it. Their styling is always top tier too!!!
Thank you! I can't wait to see what direction their third mini album or maybe first full album goes in 👀 yeah there is defo more of a western influence which is interesting to see
some misinformation is Haneul never worked for a big4 that was just a rumor people spread due to Julie and Natty being trainees, and Belle being a member of S2's songwriter camp
Kiss of life is my new favorite Four member girl group. My bias is Belle, she's the songwriter of Lesserafim, Purple Kiss, and Miyeon from (G)idle. She must have been writing songs for a long time. Also, I love her singing voice, it's so strong and sensual. The four members have amazing vocals but Belle's vocals stood out because her of unique voice tone and range. Plus her vocal runs are giving Ariana Grande vibes. In bad news she sang her part in the chorus, with a vocal run. My favorite solo is Kitty cat by Julie from Kiss of life because of the lyrics. My favorite song by the group is Bad News. My favorite Music video is Midas touch because of the production, cinematography, and Special effects. The 2000s references are insane. My new favorite song is Midas touch. Julie and Natty are my bias wreckers. Julie is so amazing at singing and rapping, her voice is a mix of R&B and hip hop. Strong and bold is what I described her rapping voice. She has this unique rap color and vocal tone then other rappers in Kpop. Btw I thought Natty was the leader but i was shocked when you said that Julie was the leader the whole time. Natty has this center energy and charisma. Plus Natty and Juile are the best dancers.
Belle does have an unreal voice! I hear you on the Ari front. I've been binging lots of their live performances cuz I'm like VOCALS YES! My new fave is Midas Touch too. It was probs Shhh before but Midas swept in there like daaaamn!
I'm so happy to see more people paying attention to this "senior" newbie group. The stylist has done an excellent job in styling each member individually and as a whole group. 😄 You definitely know what's up in the Kpop industry and great job on ur summary of their profiles
"senior" newbie group hahaha. I must be classed as ancient in Kpop years then 😂 the stylist does a beaut job of giving each member their own vibe but pulling it all together. Thank you so much!
YESSSS NEW GIRL GROUP ON GEORGE LIST OF KPOP. THEIR SONG WAS SOOO GOOD AND YOU MISSES TO REACT THEIR B-SIDE FROM MIDAS TOUCH ALBUM THIS SONGS WILL MAKE YOU GO WHO THE HECK ARE THEY? WHERE THE HELL THEY CAME FROM LOL
What a great surprise! A mv reaction? And to one of my fav groups no less? YASS! Yeah, I was missing your reaction to their solo's (which are also really good and are a prelude to the Bye My Neverland and Sssh mv's). But at least you did the rest in order 👍, and it looks like we are still getting your reaction to the solo's, only at a later time. Yeah, their storytelling is really good: - In all their pre-debut mv's, they tell stories leading up to their debut. How smart is that! 😊 Like, they show girls coming from different backgrounds and with different 'baggage' coming together and succesfully debut. It's beautiful. - In Bad News you only get to see the "bad" parts, which could make you think that these girls are "bad news". And because they only show parts (which media tends to do), it makes the news itself bad as well. - Then, in Nobody Knows you get to see the rest of the story, aka the parts that nobody knows about. I also like your attention / explanation about their styling choices. Great work on getting and showing footage of the styling during 2nd gen to illustrate the difference. It shows that women were dressing sexy back then as well. It's not a new thing. And also, great job of pointing out the difference (back then, it's questionable whether the girls were ok with what they were wearing, and how it was shown. I know there were some who definitely weren't), while with Kiss Of Life, their style has some sexy vibes for sure, but it's tasteful and age appropriate.
haha, just got to the bit about pronouncing "Haneul". I recomend googling "sky in korean translate", because "Haneul" literally means "sky" in Korean. You can then use the speaker function on google translate to hear how it is pronounced. Otherwise, the first syllable is "Ha", where the a is pronounced the same as as 'ahhhhhh' as in the english or Australian pronounciation of 'car', and the second syllable is 'neul', which is a bit more difficult, but basically that 'eu' sound is most similar in romance languages to the french pronounciation for the word "deux' (which means two). And it is finished off with a 'japanese r' as the sound is called, but it sounds closer to an 'l' here. Hope this helped. I really wanted to leave a different comment as a KISSY, about how much I appreciate your reaction and 'who are kiss of life?' section being so accurate... but there are already so many supportive KISSY in the comments, so I hope I can help you in another way hehe
IMO in the first four setsof Midas Touch each girl is representing one greek mitology character. Julie is Aphrodite (pink, red and hearts) Natty is Arachne (spider and webs) Belle is Hera (peacock and throne) Haneul is Medusa (snakes and stones) That goes well with the concept of Midas Touch
You'll only understand the storyline once you react to all their previous mvs. In this order- 1. Sugarcoat (natty's solo) 2. Countdown (Belle's solo) 3. Kitty cat (Julie's solo) 4. Love games (hanuel's solo) All these mvs connect with one another smh, creatively. And you'll also be able to pick a member who matches your vibe, all these 4 solos of the members are bops fr. After the solos- 5. Bye my Neverland (this mv shows how they find each other and become a group, connecting their stories) Last but not the least, the main debut song- 6. Shhh. Once you react to the other 5 mvs, you'll understand shhh clearly. After that, they released their album 'Born to be xx', and for that first you need to react to 1. Bad news and then 2. Nobody knows, you'll then also understand why bad news has violent and confusing scenes. Their story line is so creative.
I am surprised, very actually. Usually when a not so known reactor did content is to react, but you’re actually explaining it to us. When you’re looking at the camera straight on, my initial thoughts were “is this guy a lecturer?” It does make sense since your comment section seemed more interactive than others with less than 100K.
I recommend you react to SUGARCOAT (NATTY SOLO) AND 3 BE SIDES from their album BORN TO BE XX, they are called My 808, TTG, and Gentlemen (you can just react to one of the songs from the album it doesn't have to be all). AMAZING REACTION and who is yours bias? (Let me guess NATTY 😂) anyways BYEE😊
Actually 1:15 The members not all from big 4. Someone made that up and spread it around time they debuted but it’s not true. Belle only work for SM and Haneul’s first company is S2 where she is at now. She never in Hybe. Also 5:12 Natty not lead rapper she is lead vocal!
According to their Melon artist profile, Natty is the Lead Rapper and Haneul is the Lead Vocalist. Also, Belle didn't work for SM she just attended a few SM Song Camps.
What i love is even though they have a much more western sound, it feels authentic and not like they're trying to appeal/pander to the west. Its just their vibe as Belle said
Glad you like the group, George! You should check out their photobooks, which feature an incredible number of styles for each member. Julie is my bias, but I like how unique each member is. Julie has a lot of confidence as a dancer. Belle is the daughter of Shin Sin, one of the earliest pop stars from Korea, and she grew up in Seattle. She likes to be called Bellyana Grande. Everyone in Korea seems to know Natty, because they've been following her career for so long, and she's always had the dancing skills of a top idol. I still remember her fierce competition with Momo on Sixteen. Haneul's nickname is Bob Sky (her name means sky in Korean). She is silently strong and, despite being the maknae, is probably the most stable of the group.
thank you for reacting to kiof !!!!! i really love them so much and i'm so excited to see where they go in the future :) my bias is haneul and my fav of their songs is sooo hard to choose but i think i would say bye my neverland or nothing or maybe even ttg 😭😭😭 definitely check out their bsides !! their tts are AMAZING and their bsides really show their range !!
I had seen the videos and all but this analysis... made me really understand the group better. I hadn't paid attention or connected all the info + details you've noticed. I love them even more!!
I love KOF because there a mature, sexy concept which we need more of I’m so sick of these cute like young girl groups and concepts with these super annoying cute songs like I’m over it I don’t want to watch 15 16 year olds dressed in little girl princess clothes and stuff no thank you lol and I’m sorry young girls want to dress like KOF not like some little middle school looking art projects lol. Like no hate to Illit but come on compared to KOF I don’t understand the hype with them at all what so ever.KOF is so underrated and they deserve more recognition.
I agree with you. As a 30 year old, I find it so hard to relate to really young idols or super cute concepts. KIOF defo deserve more recognition but considering they come from a small agency, they're doing insanely well without one of the big 4 behind them. Like global brand ambassadors for a global cosmetic brand and the group didn't even debut a year ago daaaaamn
It's used to be really controversial to have an underaged member in a group back then. Very concerning to see how people normalize underaged idols who can be more vulnerable to violation and harrassment in the industry nowadays.
