Watched this out of curiosity- I'm a huge Ace fan, and I can't believe I'm coming to Tommy's defence here because I'm not really interested in much beyond the original KISS, but reading these comments, I'm pretty sure part of the reason he is in the band is because he agrees to play Ace's solos basically much note for note. If you hear Gene and Paul talk about Vinnie, they say that they told him exactly what to play, literally how THEY wanted the solos to be performed, which was true to Ace's work (which Vinnie didn't want to do because of his ego). So is Tommy "ripping Ace off"? Sure- but because he is required to in his job description. He's a fine guitarist, and he's being paid to play a role- that of Ace Frehley's character, including copying his solos. Simple as that.

Yep of course it's an Ace song that's all Tommy knows how to do is to rip ace off he doesn't know how to do anything original to make him a different from the band he's nothing but a copycat fake he wasn't even any good in black and blue
It’s true ,he’s just another imitation ,I heard other people in cover bands much better. And yes black and blue weren’t ever mentioned unless a magazine interviewed Gene on what he was up to . This I like Tommy’s cover band cold gin ,only paul and Gene are In it.
End of the Dignity Tour. The Bloated Bat, old Grandmama Stanley lip synching everything, lame setlist same as the last ten times and two tribute artists!
The only time I've walked out of a concert half way through was this lineup of KISS. They should have retired after the farewell tour and went out with some class.
