This young man has lied continually since becoming famous. Celebs do not have to tell the public everything, but should not lie. The Guardian journalist could see his inconsistencies and insincerities and pointed them out in the only proper interview he has done. It started right from making poor Sof pretend to be his best friend when she was his gf. If they were bfs she would have been pleased for him hooking up with Maia. Obvs not the case as there has been no contact between them since. He dumped her for the first famous girl he worked with who he did not make pretend as his straight boy ego wanted everyone to know he had got with a hot girl 4 years older. He then lied about being forced out and got the sympathy of the world on his side as he presented himself as a victim. It took him 8 months to admit that the had not been forced out at all. Horrendous celeb lie and really disrespectful to actual members of the lgbtq community who have been forced out, sometimes in dangerous circumstances. He then posts digitally enhanced gym pics of himself knowing exactly what he was doing despite later admitting that he "doesn't really look like that" ( as can be seen in this clip) and that they were "so embarrassing" He had to admit that even his own cast members called him out for thirst baiting. The biggest lie of all of course is a pretending to be a member of the lgbtq community. He knew as he said in The Guardian that they couldn't ask him directly, but that he was absolutely aware that they wanted to cast the show authentically. I suspect his agent told him to take the part which they knew would make him and worry about that later hence all the "unlabelled" stuff early on as could not say actually a straight ally. Following the queerbaiting, and Maia episodes he then made a cynical decision to call himself bi realsing it could only be to his advantage. It widened his popularity, is completely unprovable, got him pity and positive attention and meant that he could continue to date hot actresses (well he is bi...) I believe he is one of the most self-centred, calculating young celebs hiding behind this British nice guy veneer. I can't see why people in general and the community in particular are struggling to see through this.
