Here is my review of Dragon's brand new Tiger I kit of a s.Pz.Abt. 501 DAK Tiger. This is a long awaited re-release of the infamously expensive White Box Cyber Hobby DAK Tiger. Not only is the a re-release, but there are quite a few updated parts, making the plastic in this box far superior to that in the old one. However this does have DS tracks and some garbage old OVM tools.
All in all it's a good kit, but it would require some modifying and after-market tracks to make it really sing. So should you choose this or the Rye Field DAK Tiger? Hard to say, that's really up to your personal preference. The Rye Field one is still far less expensive.
Note: I call mantlets cupolas at one point and as always I say tow cable when what I mean is track changing cable. I am aware, and it probably bugs me more than it ever would anyone else. Just thought I'd mention in case someone thinks I don't know what I'm talking about, I do. kind of....
