Have you thought of doing Chaos dragon conversion for each of the Chaos gods? Would love to see how whacky a Tzeentch dragon could get and what a bestial Khorne dragon would look like.
Tzeentch is definitely one of my favorite conversion videos to watch. Not only for the colors but because it feels like they're allowed to be a little more strange than the others. Nurgal we know is going to be bulky, Slaanesh is going to look more sleek and Khorne is going to look beastly. But Tzeentch always had that strange aspect that allows for a little more freedom I think Great video Pete can't wait to see the others :)
Tzeentch is really missing out on it's own chaos armoured mortal troop type. Nurgle has Blightnights, Slaanesh the Myrmidesh and Khorne has blood warriors / wrath mongers. This conversion just exemplifies how cool it could be! Another riff on the cursling would be amazing
@@redrad14 "Armored mortal" was the keyword there dude. Tzaangors are the Tzeentch beastmen. Much like how Slaanesh has Slaangors, Nurgle Pestigors, and Khorne has Khorngors. Tzeentch at the moment does not have a desicated Chaos Warrior unit like the rest. It's pretty straightforward of a concept.
@@redrad14 There aren't models for them but they have existed as a concept for 20+ years since Warhammer Fantasy. Tzaangor didn't come out of nowhere. And I wasn't mad. You just made a pretty dumb reply, by bringing up Tzaangors when the guy's comment was all about dudes in full armor, not beastmen.
@@redrad14 Just seen someone pipped me to the post- but yes I would love to see Tzeentches flavoured armoured mortal's. One can imagine thats where the chosen who haven't ascended or popped into spawn end up going. Total war does some armoured zoomies but I think theres gotta be something more interesting kicking in the designers minds - its tzeentch after all. With the Tzaangors, there are the other three gods' beast men. Which have been around for ages, Slaanesh actually was the last god to get an official unit. Tzeentch getting there's in silver tower. Like all things though Khorne and Nurgle got their units first way way back in sixth edition... big Chucky metal models which though where super cool, very expensive compared to the easily convertible plastic Gor's (that we still have today)- I don't think the Khorne ones where helped by the more beastial Bloodletter's being released around the same time but we never saw the other two god's designs which was why the tzaangors in silver tower blew peoples minds. We do have plastic Khorngors and pestigors in the blood bowl (and oh look their the only two gods to have their own teams) they do look great and are more distinct than the old metal designs. Would be pretty neat to see someone kit bash them into AoS 'marked' beastmen though! I'm sure there must have been rouge trader models of them all back in the day which influenced the concept in the first place (hell beast men used to not just be goats) Anyway, if you made it this far, thanks for reading my unsolicited history of chaos blessed beastmen! Can you tell I've got a morning off?
That pale sand contrast mix is amazing. I've wondered how to handle my contrast paints that needed highlighting for a while and that's a perfect method
The way your videos are setup, I feel that a mini painting beginner can learn so much from clicking on any video you have. You always manage to reiterate tips and methods a seasoned painter forgets to mention. Amazingly insightful channel; the best channel for learning how to kitbash, paint, and get a look at just how in-depth this hobby can get!
This was an amazing video and you make it so effortless. Something I've been thinking about recently is crossing Orks with Necrons and creating the "Bork!" I haven't had much luck sitting at my desk figuring out how to put the two together so I'm happy to throw the idea out into an open forum.
@@PeteTheWargamer when will you turn some Leagues of Votann kindred into the dwarfs of Deep Rock Galactic? What about kitbashing the Tomb King Casket of Souls? Prince Imrik x Miao Ying diorama? Guilliman x Yvraine dressed for a wedding?
Looks great - natural looking conversion and perfect paint job. As always! However, something that jumps out is the contrast just for the sake of using it... If you're following the base layer of contrast paint with a wash and 2 levels of highlights, you might as well just use traditional paints that don't need so much of a steady hand on the base coats 🤷
You've already done the Tzeentch Marked Chosen, so I'm already satisfied. However, I would not be opposed to seeing a video on each of the other Gods getting their own special Chosen. I'd want to see Nurgle first, but I wouldn't balk if you did Slaanesh instead.
You delivered! A love this model, the perfect bodyguard for Vilitch 😉 But since you have the all box you can't all the other models go to waste... 😜 I myself am a Nurgle follower, and of course I would love to see some Nurgle themed conversions. But actually for some other chosen I think you should go Slaanesh: the middle-east esthetics of the new Slaanesh mortals is beutiful, and I would love to see it in chosen form!
I might try this for a chosen with a power fist as the blue horror could make it look like the chosen is "bloating" with warp or something, e9ther way it seems I'll have a nice mini on my hands when I do this!
Oh, Slaanesh Chosen are my planned ones personally. Idea is I'm going to use the Painbringers as the core model, then give them two-handed weapons and classic Chaos Warrior helmets. Though I'd love to see your take
Would love to see some Slaanesh conversions! For the god of excess there's a lack of originality and variety in the slaanesh designs, so it would be really interesting to see your take on it!
Hello Pete, I love your videos, I would like to see your take on converting Stormcasts, either the old ones (Liberators and so on), or the new ones (Vindictors and so on), into Custodes. It could be challenging to erase the Stormcast vibe from the model, but I really would like your take on that. + It would make an easy way to get more variety into Custodians squads for big Horus Heresy or Apocalypse games. Anyway thank you for your content Pete !
This looks great, really makes me wonder if my own stuff will ever look this good. Also, have you ever considered making kitbashes or paints of homebrew warhammer content?
Would love to see a chosen of Malice or one of the other minor chaos gods, also I was surprised when you didn't use the trick with filling in the face holes with putty.
I would love to see a chosen of slaanesh, Ironically, slaanesh seems to get no love and they are my fave chaos god which sucks lol amazing work tho ^-^
