Great repurpose of the dresser into an island. I actually love the dried color. My question is: What is the purpose for the wood around the refrigerator? Guess im looking at it from the ease of washing down splatters on the wood vs metal.
@@lindabunce5133 I wanted shelves near the window and my husband wanted to sturdy them by adding something to anchor them to. A lot of houses have what’s called a fridge panel which is the wood cabinet that goes up and around the fridge. Mine didn’t so he added one on. But you are correct there’s not much purpose other than something cosmetic I was wanting to add 😊
I love the outdoors you live in. We use to live in the country but our health forced us to move into the city to be close to our doctors and the hospital. I love the color you did on your island. What is it?
@@dianneperry2903 yes, we are still considering feet. I originally thought that would make it harder to clean under and would accumulate more underneath so that’s why we went in a different direction first. I like to live with changes for a bit before making adjustments so we will see 😊
@@bearden3d714 that was the original plan but the skirting goes up much farther than I’ve ever seen. It goes up to the bottom drawer so we would have to build a bottom frame unfortunately. Which we might still end up doing eventually 😊
