This is a r600 compressor I installed for a kitchenaid/ whirlpool French door fridge. Some of the processes I left out to shorten the video. But if this helps you. Please like and subscribe to this page. Thank you.
Hi, I found your video while googling an “issue” with a brand new chest freezer with R600a compressor… is it cause for concern if the suction and discharge line are making physical contact (metal and metal)? I don’t meant the little filter thing on the suction line, but rather it appears when the piping was all fitted into the space under the chest freezer, the two lines are in contact at one spot (close to where the lines enter freezer body insulation). There’s also a short section (6” or so) of dark foam insulation on the suction line between the compressor and this contact point, so I’m not sure if this perhaps was intended to be a buffer between the two? I don’t really know too much about how these systems work, but thought perhaps the contact could be an issue if there’s a temperature gradient or something (?), my older chest freezer doesn’t have the lines contacting (different brand though), so not sure if I’m just worrying about a non-issue
@@appliancerepairdiytv3536 thank you, i wasn’t sure about the suction and discharge lines making contact, or if it was a QC issue (but knew the filter dryer was supposed to contact the suction line)
If this video was worth the watch. Can you do me a huge favor and like and subscribe to my page. I’m trying to grow the page so I can put out better videos and higher quality content. Thanks in advance!!
