I really love when series’s that have run for so long add depth to some obscure, one note, complete joke of a character. They honestly always end up becoming one of the better characters in my opinion, because it takes an exceptionally good writer to do so.
@@TheLakabanzaichrgThe Bagel Effect is a scene from the first Spider-Verse movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in which Miles Morales throws a bagel at a scientist in the Kingpin's facility who, in the June 2023 sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, becomes the villain The Spot. The bagel hitting the scientist was likened to "The Bagel Effect" in reference to "The Butterfly Effect," as in, fans of the franchise humorously likened the throwing of the bagel to the multiverse's later demise.
One thing that DC absolutely triumphs at is taking a 50+ year old character and developing them into something genuinely thought provoking and artful. Kite Man and Animal Man are prime examples.
They took Kite-man, fucking *Kite-man* and gave him a heartwrenching backstory and arc that just makes you feel for the guy, and genuinely end up liking him afterwards. This is why Batman has the best villains.
Man, I’ve been drinking the whole night and you’ve killed me with this weirdly effected first minute. I literally can feel my stomach crying now. Good job!
kite man being able to make killer croc fly is a marvel of engineering he should have become an aerospace engineer specializing in aerodynamics and then his life would have turned out way better
Man, these videos are a huge relief after soul crushing day at work. Feels like there are things I'm still interested in. Thanks for that man. Thanks a ton.
Awesome video dude ! and I do admire the research that you put into gathering info about Kite Man, keep up the good work ^^ I just waned to to know or if you would be interested in shading some light on some of DC's forgotten villains like Monarch, Lord Havok and the recent addition to the main DCU Red X ~
Kiteman thought saying ‘Hell yeah’ will send you to Hell when you die. Now he’ll say it in the face of Hell as he’s willing to take on all Hell that stands before him in honor of his son.
This is radical. I want to read Kite Man stories... Is there a collected edition? Or is it just hunting down all the collected editions of stories including him?
People with Kite Man before Rebirth and the Harley Quinn show: Tch, another one of Batman’s loser villains. Were they not allowed to use the Condiment King? People with Kite Man after Rebirth and the Harley Quinn show: Kite Man! Hell Yeah!
Who do you think is worse? Joker or Riddler? Because even though the Joker has done some very messed up things, I don’t think he’s ever killed someone’s child, excluding any of the Robins. He seems more of the mentally torture then killing the parent in front of the child kind of guy. Riddler didn’t even have a second thought about killing a child. That’s really cold-blooded.
