We decided to take a little road trip to Punta Chame, Panama. I asked on the I Go Panama facebook group what there was to see and do there, and learned that Punta Chame is THE area for kite surfing! Who knew? Panama is always so full of surprises! So we took off down the road and at the very end we found PANAMANIAN OWNED AND OPERATED (we love that!!) Machete Wing Surf Kite & Foil- THE place for kite boarding and all associated sports! They've been at this for 25+ years, and are pioneers in the sport! Their beachfront facility has equipment rentals, a school where you can learn the sport, a cafe, and lodging. Even if you don't get in the water (like chicken me!), the beach is fantastic and just watching the people (and dogs!!) in the water is a great experience- plus tasty drinks and food. An awesome place to spend a day, weekend, or even longer! The season only lasts from December to April, so get down there! GET OUT AND EXPLORE PANAMA, PEOPLE!!
