Great background, explanation, familiarity and footage. Experienced a few "hits" growing up in SC and living in Chesapeake, VA and now central FL. Suppose I must choose between random fires in SW Greece (on the sea coast every year for 89 days) or take my chances in Panama. At 70, don't want to repeat the flooding and washouts personally experienced in Angeles city (Phillipines) but want my paradise a little closer than 10- to 16-hr plane rides. Great job. Will watch more videos before my Nov or Feb 2025 visit.
Ha! I just found this and it looks really good. I’ve been trying to figure out how to vacation in Panamá , Costa Rica and Belize all on the same trip. It was driving me nuts. The flights I was finding wanted me to fly back to Miami and layover between countries. I was looking for local airlines and found you. I feel much better now. Thanks
My aunt went to vist my uncle who both dont like each other. My uncles son(primo) told my aunt "Dont eat or drink ANYthing in this house." My aunt was asked 3 times to eat food and she denied all of them. They sent her off with the tamales because they insisted. My aunt gave them to some workers. My aunt knew that if someone else ate the foot it wouldn't affect them, just the cursed person can be affected. My aunt even told me how my uncles wife did it, with a piece of hair or a picture. Fake friendly Voodoo warfare is insane lol welcome to Panamá Thanks for the stories, I enjoyed them. Im half Panamanian half Texan now living in South Texas.
Fantastic job… We are considering Panama for retirement and we have been discussing the numbers, and Panama looks like a winner, will be visiting in April of 2025, and we are so excited… I love your honesty and sense of humor… I will definitely be watching and researching… Thanks for your insight…
For those living in Panama now, Starlink is officially in Central American i.e. Panama. The standard residentual in US is S120 but in Panama it is only $45 and the mobile unit plan is $64 per month, both plans the equipment cost is $350.
I am really tired of playing the price game on these obviously expensive properties. Announcing the price as the first thing allows people to make their own assessments and comparisons . Please consider doing that.
I am a single father of 2 children. I have complete sole custody of both and I am traveling. Do I still need a power of attorney or is the court documents enough to show immigration?
You don't need proof of onward travel.. For the past 10 years, I've been traveling all through Latin America including Panama flying in and out on multiple flights.. I have NEVER been questioned about an onward flight... Narrator is an Alarmist.
so if I drive to Panama from the upper mid-west of the United States ( I do not fly ) I can just drive into Panama and I do not need a Visa, I automatically receive 6 months, if I were to find full / part time employment besides collecting my social security checks, I wonder how many times I can continue to renew that 6 month Visa...
Can you get good bio-identical hormone replacement in Panama? Not pellets. Estradiol patch, oral micronized progesterone, and injectable testosterone? Armour Thyroid?
Hola Brian! It looks like you have some sort of material that plugs the gap under the ridges where the roofing material lays over the facia. I have seen people use spray foam to plug that space. What did you use? y Where did you find it? Gracias
we have to report corporations, but we do not have to report real estate owned outside the USA. So, it might be a strategy to keep the home in our personal names and out of the reach/knowledge of the USA. Panama and other countries are not litigious, like the USA, so the threat of losing a home/needing to protect assets is not as great as in the USA.
In Las Tablas, I am glad you got it. I am on my 5th time taking the test. Studying in Spanish for a test in strange English with French brain.... not so obvious. I miss it by one every time. And that's my moto license. The car license took a while too. I am taking it again tomorrow. I go there on my bike and never had anyone question it.
Trying to talk my wife into looking at some properties in Pedasi! I am so tired of the division created by media and politicians and ready to shift back a gear! FOMO is real in the US and I am done with it! Thanks for sharing as I might be coming alone!
This is my worst fear. I think you'll understand when I say outstanding vet care is on my non-negotiable list. It's the first thing I check when I'm researching destinations to retire to because my kitties are more important to me than my own healthcare. I saw good ratings on Google reviews for the vet I believe you were referencing in Bocas so that is concerning and makes me wonder if I can believe reviews at all . So that leads me to ask- if I were to move to Panama, where? I'm not really a big city person so Panama City was originally off my list. What about David? Would you trust vets there? But I'm like you and really wanted to be closer to the beach...and I love the jungle wildlife. And Boquete has been out for me for a while - too far from the beach. BUT if there is excellent vet care there, I'd put it back on the list. It almost sounds like if vet care is my #1 that I need to be in Panama City? Lol too many questions. Panama is actually second on my list. France is #1 (excellent tax situation for American retirees - they don't tax any us retirement income). But depending on what happens in the next few years before I retire (mainly USD-EURO flux), Panama could easily become #1. Thank you for sharing this story - it has really made me think closer about location when moving.
Hold on here did you say the road was taken out by a hurricane. I don’t live in Panama yet but I have been there several times and from what I understand is that Panama does not get hurricanes. I was going to recommend this video but when you said hurricane it kinda made this video lose credibility.
Just watched your three year-end videos back to back, and though I haven’t watched other videos, may I say you look sooo VIBRANT and healthy here?! I did hear in the second year video that you had some health issues, so I’m so pleased to see you looking so well. Here’s to your continued health and happiness!
