As a camera man and video producer for many decades, I have to say this is one of the most heart felt, beautiful films I have seen. Your heart, soul and joy shines through this, as you can clearly hear it in your voice. :) What a joy to share with others.

Such a great quote at the end, and you guys are such an inspiration to me. I've just acquired a 1992 Kitfox Classic IV project and begun building the wings. Lucky for me, my new neighbor is an AP mech. Watching videos like yours remind me that there's light at the end of this (long, long) tunnel and my dream will someday come true like yours. I built a 1994 model IV-1200 with the Rotax 912 and just loved it. Flew it about 200 hours and donated to an aviation museum. The 4-stroke Rotax cannot be beat. Be sure to keep on it and work every day so you don't get discouraged. If you can find friends to help, that's great, but mostly my friends never showed up and I did it all myself. Just be prepared for that.

Kt Flying I completely understand how you feel. We aren't made of money and I grew up being told airplanes are too expensive. We finally didn't listen and found a kitfox 4 before I really even knew what they were, we bought it..lol. I can't wait to get my sport license using this plane. The sky is the limit. Maybe we will meet up and swap first plane kitfox stories.
edward hasiak We paid 17,000 for a Kitfox 4 with 4stroke Jabiru aircraft engine 85HP. Many are built with 2stroke snowmobile type engines but I have a lot of experience with motorcycle 2strokes and didn’t want to bet my life on one because you just can’t pull over in the sky. A 2stroke 65HP Kitfox usually starts at 15,000 most 4stroke Kitfox’s are Rotax and start around 20,000. That engine brand new starts at 18,000 alone a 2stroke engine new runs maybe 7,000? Takeoff around 75-100ft
Congratulations on your dream come true! I always dreamt of flying and have done some but never owned one. I started watching flying videos maybe 6 months ago and the Kitfox really impressed me and I like that the seating is side by side so you can enjoy your dream of flying next to your loved one. I really enjoyed your video because I loved the passion and excitement that you have and the happiness that being able to realize the dreams you and your husband share! I LOVE it! I see you have the 914 turbo. Don't know your altitude, but the turbo sounds like exactly what you need out there. My Kitfox had the 912 and flew phenomenally at an airport 2500' elevation. All best to you.

I hate to be that guy but, any chance you would disclose how much you have in this airplane? I work in a warehouse so... not very rich. I have been looking at this plane for a while but to be honest I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to pay for private rating.
