That kitten was separated from his mother way to early. I’m glad that he has a better life now with a family who loves and cares for him :)

There should be much stricter laws against cruelty to animals. This is an amazing kitten! Have seen cats that swim and like water , but my kittens don’t like water at all. Each kitten has its own personality. It’s fun watching them grow up.

I’m a LVT. We had a similar patient. The children broke three of her legs and ribs. Animal cruelty rescued her and my hospital fixed her. We gave her as much love as possible during her three week hospitalization.

It’s amazing to me how cruel humans can be to a defenseless creature. Thank goodness he was rescued from that family! Adults should have stepped in and cared for the kitten when the children were so cruel, but some grown ups are worse than the children. My mom had to take in her neighbor’s cat in the late 1980’s because the two sons were using her as a toy. I’m so glad I wasn’t born to see this because it would have broke me, but they would stuff her in a barrel and roll her down the hill behind the house. They would throw her around, even after she had just delivered a litter of kittens. Such a horrific beginning to her life, and it impacted the way she interacted with me and my twin sister when we were born roughly three years later. She never liked us or any of our small cousins, despite our innocence and friendliness towards her. Children had abused her, so all children were bad in her eyes. As we got older, the outright fear of us became stoic tolerance. She died in 2003 after living a loved but forever fearful life. RIP, Shem. I will miss you always, and wish that we had more time with you growing up.

Our Pixie used to love water too. She'd go paddling in the river to find fish to play with😆. I'm so pleased he has a loving family that let him play (and paddle) on his terms, and isn't used as a childrens toy👌🏽😸💙💚.

People don't realize how fragile animals are. Small children don't understand either. If a child even just pulls a cats tail, it could cause permanent damage to the cat. It can cause the cat to be incontinent for the rest of it's life, it can cause the cat to become paralyzed and you could even break the cats tail.

We had two cats who loved to lay in our sink while it slowly filled with warm water. As they grew older, they still enjoyed warm, still water, but no longer the running, splashing version.😉

Aww. He's adorable! He reminds me of my cat, Toby. Same personality traits. And when he was younger, especially, Toby was fascinated with water. I had to buy him a non-skid, unflippable dog food bowl for his drinking water, because he liked to shove his surprisingly muscular little paw under it and flip it to watch the water go everywhere and play in it. He used to sit in front of his water fountain for long stretches, mesmerized, occasionally batting at the water, and he still loves playing under the tap every chance he gets.

I once had two female cats, mother and daughter, then the younger very tiny cat accidentally got pregnant and had one single male kitten that was HUGE and required C section. Born late one February night mid snowstorm thanks to vets on tge other side of town, I suspected his father was a giant Maine Coon in the area, he looked just like him. This big boi was first adopted by his maternal grandmother, (his mom was just overwhelmed) out grew his mom in NO time and later on I found a perfect family for him. His favorite things to do was jump into the full kitchen sink of soap and water when they had dishes to clean, and just have a spa moment and to ride their noisy old fashioned vaccum cleaner/hoover on the floor! He also thought he was the star of his humans blues band and often hung out in stage at live performances, entirely unphazed by the amps, drums and audience. Hilarious cat! 😂 Only people who love, respect and really listen to their animals will know their true nature and let them grow to be unique individuals. The same with children really. That kitty also got a deaf human sibling and he changed her life! I'm so glad to see this featured kitten being his unusual self and valued for it. ❤️ Don't ever buy an animal for your children, or give an animal to those with that mindset. Every animal is an addition to the family and must be respected and ultimately cared for by the adults.

When I was a teenager I found a kitten/ took it home. My mom's "manly" BF got pissed. When she wasn't around he confronted me about bringing a cat home. The kitten was running around playing and as soon as he got a chance he kicked the poor cat, it flew hitting a sliding door & it ran away, never to be seen again. I sat there in shock for a few minutes, he then got in my face, yelling. I snapped and jumped on him and Just started swinging like crazy. I wanted REVENGE for that poor kitten and I sure got it: For The next couple of weeks he walked around with TWO black eyes and he never got tough with me again. True story and I absolutely don't regret beating the crap out of him for that. 😼

And the way you describe him (apart from being a "kitty mermaid")...he's just like his my latest addition to the family, he's plays with the older guys and annoys them as well, but 5mins later, they cuddle up and sleep close to each other... And your Simon, he's a copy of my Matrix, also 6yrs older than my youngest and he's the "big brother" of my latest addition... Love them loads and they're my family and are next to me all the time, no matter what I do or where I go in my house 🤩🥰💖💖💖💖 Cats are amazing
