Wow, thanks for this piece of skiing history. That looks so rough, respect to those athletes. Not to take anything away from today's athletes though, that image of Kilde's leg is going to be imprinted in my memory for a long time.
Yes, but look at the turns above the Hausberg 4 turns now used to be 2. and recently the gates to the right off the Hausberg to slow down the traverse because no matter how hard you try the two ridges and the sidehill of the H kante will never be a smooth ride.
@@IStMl But mostly the snow surface is far rougher, as noted by the audio comments. Modern race courses are groomed to within the width of a gnat's ass.
