Thanks for suggesting the Tri Clarion ear tips. I was about to return my Orchestra Lites having tried every tip in my possession but these worked a dream.
awesome review and thanks for your efforts on testing this product for us. Do you do reviews on IEMS for gaming? If so what is your take on using these for gaming as far as detail and sound imaging/separation?
I am not much of a gamer these days. I occasionally will hop on the PS4 and play some racing or sports but I don't play any rpg or fps games. From the limited times i used the Orchestra LIte for my gaming it was a solid option. But please keep in mind, it was for just a couple of minutes here and there.
@@TheHonestAudiophile Yeah, they posted about it Looks like it will come later this year as Fiio's first planar with the FHE5 which is their first tribrid iem
Great review. I hope you get a set of the upcoming Dunu S6 MK2 from Hifigo as soon as they’re available. Very interested in seeing them compared to the Xenns Top.
It's simple. In fact you save me money Dave. I rarely regret my purchases because I do a lot of research. I am happy to pay a small contribution so that you can help me with that. You are a money saver 🤷 (I am curious about the new Fiio over ear FT 3. The specs look promising). Interesting model.
Interesting review on Orchestra Lite. I found your description is very close to TRN VX Pro. I currently use VX Pro as my daily driver, which has 4 BA on high, 4 BA on mid and 1 DD on low. Then I use TRN T3 Pro Pure Silver 16 core cable and Shure e2c black eartips (sorry, extinct product). The result is close to your description with less smoothening on top end. Also, Orchestra Lite and VX Pro are both ventless IEM.
Hi Dave, sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Feel better soon! I have been a long time viewer of your channel. I bought my Kato’s because of your high recommendation and have thoroughly enjoyed them. I would love to get my hands on the SA6 but not in the budget. Do you feel that these would be a big enough upgrade to make it a worthwhile purchase? And if so in what ways do they out perform the Kato? Looking forward to your opinion!
Sorry haven't heard the DUNU SA6. Kato is a little more full sounding, slightly better tone and timbre but overall but doesn't have as much detail retrieval and resolution. Both are excellent and compliment each other well.
@@TheHonestAudiophile Thanks Dave. I may pick up a pair. Hoping to hold off and check out the Blessing 3 first. Looking forward to your review of them.
@@TheHonestAudiophile it's pretty nice, bass is amazing but timbre leaves much to be desired, but that might be my 6XX on tubes bias. The P5 is pretty detailed imo. A touch more natural sound and warmth and a bit of stage would be great, but I've no idea if I can expect these things from IEMs in general.
How would you compare these to the quintets? I love my quintets though I'm struggling with the treble (I do understand that these are tuned completely different). Thanks for the video!
Orchestra Lite is more neutral and accurate tone and timbre, the Quintet is more bassy, warm and fun sounding. Orchestra Lite is more analytical neutral leaning.
@@TheHonestAudiophile Thanks for that write up! I ended up fixing the treble issues by putting on a set of the xelastics which arrived earlier today and could not be happier with them. I'm now incredibly interested in trying the Lites out due to how you described them, but going to hold back due to how much I've spent recently haha. Cheers!
Hi Dave! Is investing into a Hiby FC4 the next step after getting a Tin T3+ or should I go for the Tin P1 Max (around same price as P1 max, no dac/amp yet) then Hiby FC4 next? Great video as usual! Really enjoy the subjective opinions, helped me find my own :) thank you so much!

Orchestra Lite has better stage width, depth, layering and more precise in imaging. Not that the Heyday is a slouch but the Orchestra Lite is better in my opinion.
Hi Dave hope you're doing well, how does the orchestra lite compare to p1 max? they both seem to have a very similar tuning. I have the p1 max right now and was wondering if this would be a decent upgrade considering I only paid 90$ for the p1 max
Orchestra Lite has good imaging capabilities that gives a well defined, bodied image to the notes, not sure If call it holographic. P1 Max is better with tone and timbre, resolution is similar and the Orchestra Lite has a slight bit more detail retrieval.
Hi Dave , you are the reason for buying moondrop Kato...is this kiwi orchestra lite worthy upgrade?! Hows the Bass compared to Kato...in Kato review u prefer Kato more than B2 ...now in this review u saying kiwi orchestra lite is better than B2...this iem hobby is seriously is addictive...also am using fiio btr5 , shanling ua2 is these enough for kiwi orchestra lite? Help pls :)
Kato is a little more full sounding overall but doesn't have as much detail retrieval and resolution. Both are excellent and compliment each other well. The BTR5 and UA2 should be enough to power the Orchestra Lite but i haven't used either of them.
@@TheHonestAudiophile wow that's awesome to hear.. So it seems like I'll keep both for longtime And thanks a lot for the speedy reply., it mean a lot, jus because of your reply.. Am going to order this iem... Wish you reach 1 lakh subscribers soon :)
@@TheHonestAudiophile ordered:) for longtime am eyeing Blessing2 ..more positive reviews like end game iem but you and Dan didn't gave that much positive response for B2..but now kiwi orchestra lite tempted me because of your review that kiwi is better than B2 and the PRICE:) it's 20k inr...B2 is almost 28k am very excited to receive Only con I feel is the look ., It's like Women jewellery earings:) Once again thanks Mr. Honest..keep up
Good day! I hope your doing well with your covid situation. I would like to ask if this is better than the Mangird Xenns Top? How does it compare? Thank you and hope you get well soon. God bless you
Top is an upgrade to the Lite. Top has more fullness to the sound, more bass impact, more treble extension, more detail retrieval and resolution. Thanks for the well wishes, much appreciated. The recovery is slow. The ear infection is still impacting my ability to review.
Hello! What you can recommend like monitoring style iem 100-300$? I already have hexa, oh10, ie600, want something more to the plain, neutral signature. Like imr7 sony
Kato is a different presentation with it's more natural tone and timbre, fuller note weight and slight more bass impact. The Orchestra Lite has a smidge more detail retrieval and resolution and is slightly better at imaging capabilities. So yes, in some ways the Orchestra Lite is better than Kato.
@@TheHonestAudiophile there are some all BAs that have vents (DUNU SA6 and U12T). I had the Moondrop S8 for a while, which is ventless, but couldn’t get used to the sensation of wanting to pop my ears
P5 has a little more BA timbre, a little more bass impact, a little more treble energy. Orchestre Lite has a slight more detail retrieval, resolution and more natural tone and timbre.
@@TheHonestAudiophile oh yeah, is the instrument seperation a significant step down from the performer 5? A different reviewer wrote that because the presentation of the orchestra is softer, it becomes harder to focus on an individual instrument.
Hello i heard rhe xenn top would be a good upgrade to these, well an upgrade in fun factor that is not too extreme. Would you think a person that likes these would like the xenn top? The OL i really like but want a little more bass and treble. So more "fun" but not muddy or piercing. Also open to suggestions of a "orchestra but more fun" the orchestra can he slightly dull in some music like electronic and rap.
Bravery is a little better resolving and detailed. The Bravery has more bass impact. For fun listen I'd go with the Bravery and for analytical listen I'd go with the Orchestra Lite.
I don't play very many FPS games at all, I am more of a sim racer and sports player on a very limited basis. The Top is more immersive and engaging with loud explosions and rumbles. The Orchestra Lite is not going to have as much of that but will be more about directional cues.
I don't play FPS or competitive games. I play sports and racing games very sporadically. I've not heard the Softears Studio 4. The Xenns Mangird Top is a good IEM for my limited gaming experience. I also didn't mind the Orchestra Lite for gaming. I'd pick the Top for myself.
Thanks for the review (and all your IEM reviews, new to the world and am learning a lot). How would these compare vs the Kato? They are both on my short list for that price point (and the EA500LMs cheaper*).
Kato is a little more full sounding, slightly better tone and timbre but overall doesn't have as much detail retrieval and resolution. Both are excellent and compliment each other well. Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated. Glad you enjoy the channel content.
Those are 1/3 more expensive than B2 second hand deals right now so it is hard to justify the purchase at their price considering the options out there. Penon Fan 2 (179usd) being one example, you got also SIMGOT EM6L (at 120usd) and I'm missing many. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wqjxjwz_c3Y.html
I've not heard xDuoo X2. The Heyday and Orchestra Lite are completely different presentations. The Heyday is warmer, has way more bass impact, has similar detail retrieval but isn't as resolving, smaller stage width but better depth, slightly less imaging abilities. Heyday is fun leaning and Orchestra Lite is analytical leaning. I prefer the Orchestra Lite.
I have both and enjoy both, depending on the mood and genre. The bass coming from a DD is more refined and with more presence, but overall tonality of the OL is better, imo of course. Both great products.
Do you have any proof I was paid for the review? I have DEFINITIVE proof that I WAS NOT paid for the review. Just because you disagree with my honest opinion of my experience of the Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite with my gear, my music, through my ears doesn't prove that it is paid review. All thoughts stated on the Orchestra Lite and any other products mentioned are my own. I was not paid and have never been paid for a review. RU-vid has very strict rules about paid content and if broken they will take action. Thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing.
@adilsonobelard9690 Ive listened to this headset and I actually agree with every word that Dave says in this review 🤷🏻♂️ I’m not quite sure why you say it
Heyday has way more bass impact, more elevated mids, more aggression in it's presentation overall and isn't as detailed and resolving. The Heyday is more fun sounding and the Orchestra Lite is more analytical.
@@TheHonestAudiophile thanks for the reply. I'm considering getting the Kiwi Ears but i'm not sure if they are truly a upgrade over the Heydays i've been using. The Blessing 2 are a pipedream for me, as they are way to expensive, but i want to get a ''endgame'' IEM, and i thought the Kiwi Ears woud fit the bill. Would you consider the Kiwi Ears Endgame material, or maybe I just just stick to the Heydays and be done with it :)
I have never considered the Blessing 2 as "endgame" for myself. But as I stated in the video, I would take the Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite over the Blessing 2. For a lot of folks, the Kiwi Ears would be more than enough for them. Only you will know if it is your "endgame".
