Tbh Indian market is never ready for good cars!! We create hype for cars that are of 150hp!! Literally! We are lowering our standards! outside India 250 hp is common! But here even 130 hp is a big deal 😬😬

Wasn't just a concept, they even raced the V6 AWD Kizashi in the U.S., just look it up. It was just that the buyers of such cars weren't all that interested in buying something with a Suzuki badge, however great the product maybe. For Example: KIA Stinger GT.

@Sheena ritz is way different car than swift its handling its usability both are different.. i had both swift and ritz and i had fun driving both in straight lines ritz diesel performed better and in corners swift first gen performed better.. so u can't say ritz was basically swift and for old age people ritz was best option bcs of sitting posture and sitting height.. there's so much to cars than just engines
Doesn't matter even Maruti cars had parts written Made in Japan those days. My Alto for instance. Maruti has taken Suzuki far ahead in volume games. And Suzuki anyways had the Japanese tech to compliment Maruti. A win win combination.
That is so true bro. The only difference between the old Suzukis and new ones is that the Kizashi and Grand Vitara are Japanese market models directly brought to India. That's why they costed so much when they were new. It was only those two models though that were Japanese market cars. Remaining part of the lineup are built in India and made for Indian market cars which don't use the level of quality that the Japanese market cars had.
It was super flop , many dealers sold them them at 50% discount ..... s cross 1.6 , baleno 1.6 petrol , bikti nhi maruti ki achi gadiya to maruti bhi kooda bech kar khush hai customer bhi khush hai

Every time when Kizashi comes up in conversation with my petrol head friends, I die a little bit on the inside... Suzuki actually sold a Proper proper car wayyy back and then somehow stopped selling it. They could have at least given the Ciaz on sale currently a new 1.8 or 2L engine, but sadly Suzuki being the conservative grandfather of a company it is, is busy launching Crossovers. SIGH.😢😭
Suzuki was never conservative. It's the people of India which made it conservative. Best examples were Grand Vitara with a V6 engine and Kizashi. Maybe people of India don't deserve such cars as they are stuck with Suzuki brand for cheaper cars. While internationally Suzuki is renowned for high performance engines (in bikes like Hayabusa) and reliability.
Japanese naturally aspirated engine 2.4, 2.6 jo Honda Accord , Kizashi ye sab cars Mai hai wo ek number hai. Toyota Camry bhi isme count kar lo. Amazing to see an old school classic vs new gen 20 lakh sedan with dual clutch and all. Keep up the good work bhai
Failure of great cars like Kizashi and Old GV is one of the reasons Suzuki focuses less on safety and quality and more on fuel efficient cars in India(although they were a bit overpriced but still)
How I wish I could Disagree with your comment, but I can't. You are absolutely correct. How I wish the Indian consumer grew a sentiment for those larger cars available during the BS3 and BS4 eras. And now we live in an era of Idiotic Atkinson Cycle IC engines.
It’s a world market car, unlike the maruti cars they sell in india for the Indian market. It wasn’t released before it time, India wasn’t ready for this car. Even now people would rather buy expensive European cars for status. It’s just how the Indian market is. All major manufacturers have stopped selling their premium cars and replaced them with low quality cars that are cheap to capture market share.

My KIZASHI is not really giving the usual performance it used to give .I’m finding it really hard to reach 180 although I’ve hit 200 once. The car is serviced well but I feel like there’s a limited on the car. Any chance that I can remove that limiter through any ECU remapping?
I have 2016 Suzuki Kizashi 6spd, stock reaches easily 220km/h cause here the car comes without the speed limiter that suzuki uses. 2018 the ecu was remaped, 7,2sec to 100 and top speed of 234km/h (GPS), but dont spect to reach that speed in a split second, the car is a bit big. No problems what so ever in the car but I only made 43.000km so far. The best mod BY FAR is a pedal commander to get rid of the electronic pedal lag that affect so much the performance of the car when upshiffting .
I managed to do 240kph (according to the speedometer) on the Autobahn. I wanted to try it again, this time measuring the speed with a GPS but unfortunately the Autobahn is too cramped nowadays to try this again. But yeah 240kph in 5th gear should be possible according to the speedometer.
Some of you make me laugh on here, you think speed proves which is the better car 😂. Im a suzuki person i will have them anyday over VW, skoda, seat, audi. But i dont cry over which is fastest. I love suzuki for its unique looks and i had my current 2004 liana hatchback 7 years now with no trouble. Quality interior hasnt flaked button, no seat tears, no peeling paint ect and is now on 188k miles. My vw golf 2005 with 55k miles look like crap already. It got totalled by a motorbike which i was not bothered about it at all as i spent a fortune on it replacing cheap horrible buttons, door lock mechanisms look like they were made in deepest depth of africra, gearbox failed, egr valve snapped inside because made of cheap plastic !! 😂.
Bring a 2.4 turbo engine infront of a naturally aspirated engine and you'd see who takes the lead. Displacement to displacement or horsepower to horsepower.

Bhai pollution norms ki vajah se performance degrade hui modern cars me, Old cars ki me vo limitations nhi hoti thi, jo today's cars ko adhere karni padti hai, ye baat sabhi brands ke liye hai
