Hi Thad, Congratulation! You take the best Choice for that Setup with one Carb. I ride for 5 Years with it and I dont want an other Setup then that. I am Happy with that. Perfect done by KJS. Ken is the best. Greets Max
I am going to get one of these kits for my 91' Virago XV 750..I like the clean look and less tuning nightmares! Your bike looks and sounds amazing with this setup ! Thanks for the awesome video !
@t has a tm40-6 that you uses your stock cables and has a tps system on it and comes with a configered carb for your bike from 400cc 500cc 535cc 650cc vstar and 700cc 750cc 920cc 1000cc and 1100 cc viragos and vstars your bike sounds great and i love your video
I know is being a long time since this video, but I'm having a hard time with my cheapo single carb intake that runs a longer leg to the rear cylinder and I always have my front cylinder running lean and the rear spark plug reach and never get the same color spark plug. When you check your spark plugs are they look the same with this intake or the front always will be leaner ?
Nice video Thad, I just converted my 1987 xv 1100 with the KJS system but need to buy a duel cable system as the throttle does not close fast enough with the single cable. I need to find out where to buy one, any suggestions. Thanks, Steve
Hello ; thanks for all the informations, i have a request that is i have a Virago XV 1100 model 1996 with a bad carburator so is it possible to get the carburator i saw in this video by the way i am from Morocco Marrakech i belong to the association ATLAS RIDERS Marrakech. how can i get it and how much it costs and i thank ypu so much for your good informations and help and welcome to Marrakech. yours Mohammed.
Did not have to dial in the carburetor yourself at all ? Does KJS fine tune carb per order like a 750 vs a 1100 and exhaust type info etc? Looks and sounds fantastic BTW !
@Thad Mandin can you tell me which K&N air filter are you using. It seems that this Mikuni Carb has 40 mm diameter for the air income but this style filter you are using has 57mm tube. Did you use some additional rubber in between?
I don't recall which one I ordered from K&N. KJS recommended a specific model number and it went straight on. It was also a narrow filter to not effect your leg as much. I believe it was around 50 dollars. I hope that helps.
@@thadmandin3796 Great, thanks for the response. Two more quick questions:) Do you still drive the bike, how is the carb performing in long term? Overall would you recommend it as a great performance booster?
