I love this song, the galloping guitar riffs, the breakdown with the heavy chugging, catchy sing along chorus. Can't wait for this album to be released.
When KK plays it's like being visited by the ghost of classic priest loud and clear. Like an old friend you missed, not the same but recognizable in its core. When listening (especial live) to current priest it's like realizing that friend you knew just isnt the same anymore. So you cherish the memories of what once was. At least that how it feels to me. There a certain energy and attitude that KK's priest has that is lacking with current JP. Still good but tame.
I LOVE KKs priest. This song is fantastic.Hope they tour the US.The best part is its a band not a KK DOWNING ego project.Loved your review.Did you make it to the debut gig in Wolverhampton?
Actually I enjoyed their debut album. 😉😃 this one sounds good as well. Its not groundbreaking in anyway, its just what you'd expect from KK. I guess I like it bcs of that
New subscriber, mate. What i instantly loved about this reaction is your eyes are shut and youre LISTENING! Too many just watch the video and get lost. Well done. And this 2nd album is one of the best Metal releases in recent years.
First album was so so, didn’t listen to it much after about a month …..this new song is killer, hopefully the new album is stronger. Your review of the first album spot on, great review!!
The formula is pure Iced Earth. The riffing, the rhythm, the thunderous drums that harken back to Richard Christy, the aggression, the fast to slow transitions, the effects on Tim's vocals, the subject matter, the imagery, ... If you played me this song without telling me who it was, I'd swear it was an unreleased track from the "Framing Armageddon" sessions. It's like Ken told Ripper "Ok mate, do what you do best with this one." Fucking love it. I hope the rest of the album is of this caliber. They promised that the 2nd album would be heavier than the first one, and so far, they have delivered!
The first time I heard it could not believe what I just heard. So ar once there was the second, the third time. To believe it is truth, I am not dreaming. The first album for me looked less or more as joke, anger or something like that (Hail for the priest for example good song) Of course we do not know, what will be other songs, but this song is really great, without doubt the best song of this band.. And production is few times better.
I am right with you on the first album - loved it at first, but it hasn't aged well (for me). This one sounds really though. Not sure if they are hitting their stride, or if this is just one of the better songs on the album. Definitely jamming!
Never seen your channel until now. Just subscribed. Enjoyed your opinions. I too absolutely love The glorious burden. Also love that you display the Metallica binge and purge box set up the top. Mine is also on display. Vhs treasures. Cheers from Australia.
Agree that the first album wore off early, although Hellfire Thunderbolt is in my top songs still. The rest was too foreseeable. The production was ‘thinner’ too. So, this is very promising: better production, more variation. We’ll see what the rest will be like.
I enjoyed the first album, but I disliked the production. This sounds great. Ken was always my favourite member of Judas Priest, and Tim has a great voice that I think was not given enough of a chance on the debut KK's Priest album. I'm looking forward to more of this. 🤘🎸
Coming soon, from the creator of Return of the Sentinel and One More shot a glory -Breaking even more laws -You've got yet another thing coming -Killer of pains -Twin Turbo Lovers -Heading back out to the highway -Electric eye glasses -Devil's grandchild -Judas Re-Rising -Ram it lower -One more for the road To clarify, I like KK's priest, music is great, ripper is phenomenal, just as a fan, I think the song names and lyrics leave a lot to be desired
Like the album but all the guitar solo's are just two guy's trying to shred as many notes as possible weather it suited the song or not without any feeling or tone..as a guitarist of 50 years I no longer care about speed for the sake of speed, indeed, if the solo doesn't serve the song then don't bother with one and yes, the production wasn't great with hardly any bottom end..........this however sounds waaaaaaay better.
Owens is one of the most wasted talents in metal. Despite his stellar voice, his arrangemangents, his rythm and his melodies are close to generic. It's like hearing an opera singer do Mary Had a Little Lamb. I have never understood that guy and I never will.
I didnt like it at all. I dont like tim singing. The music is ok not great. To repetitious. I couldnt listen to it all. Its really a shame that kk and rob cant get past their issues. And whats the deal with songs that are obvious referances to judas priest. One more shot of glory obvious nod or something to one shot at glory on painkiller. Even the name of the album. Sinner rides again eh? Lol. Kk cant you think of totally your own ideas? Get back with priest!
You do know that KK wrote many of Judas Priest's songs??? He did!! I love KK's Priest, and love Ripper's singing!! To me Judas Priest is dead!! Obviously I'm a huge Ken Downing fan!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
@@bigdee8189 yes and he and glenn played amazing guitar together. Priest had many many great songs. I'm a ken fan to. He was perfect for priest. Again i wish they could get together again. Richie faulkner does too. 🤘
