honestly the reason i like klance is... it just fits. They're two side of the same coin - one is hotheaded the other cool and chill - they complement each other. And how fitting would it be for the "ladies man" to fall in love with a boy? For the "loner" to fall in love with the social butterfly? It's been hinted and coded so much that Lance is bi and Keith is gay that at this point i find it very hard to believe their rivals to friends arc won't end in friends to lovers. They have so much chemistry and they make such a great team, they bring out the best in each other. They're fire and ice, opposites yet they have so much in common. And that's in-story, outside there have been multiple hints by lance's va for klance, but whatever anyone says outside the show isn't canon so that's more of a sidenote than an argument pro klance for me.

I personally think that at before the show started Lance's and Kieth's rivalry was nonexistent. In the first episode, Lance was the only one who recognized Kieth, mostly because of his hair. Lance has said they were rivals, only because he's always wanted to beat Kieth. I think Lance had always admired and looked up to him. But on the other hand, Kieth didn't really know who Lance was. Which proves my point that they were never rivals in the first place. Lance just forced a rivalry onto Kieth when they meet in the first episode. Also Kieth didn't banter with Lance unless Lance starts it. Lance always ends up saying something to tick or annoy Kieth, and Kieth just has the instinct to reply back. Also Kieth was the most shy and independent one in the group. Lance actually helps him break out of his shell with all of the teasing and bantering. I think it's possible that Lance has liked Kieth when he was still in the Garrison. But Kieth on the other hand, didn't. I think it's possible Kieth might have some feelings for Lance, but not enough for him to call it a crush. I honestly think they just need more screen time together. Plus Lance and Kieth make a great team, and no one can deny that. ^ sorry for the rant. Klance is my OTP. But I respect other people's ships...so yeah :3

in my opinion, i honestly see shiro as a father figure to keith. i can't really see them in a romantic relationship together aha i'm a klance shipper, but that doesn't mean i would disrespect anyone that ships sheith. everyone has different opinions.

I ship Klance, but I don't hate the other ships. Sheith is very understandable, I just don't ship it. I see Keith and Shiro more as brothers. Especially since Keith outright stated that he sees Shiro as a brother (which is adorable). And there is some basis, besides rivalry for Klance. (I don't usually ship rivals tbh) Despite their differences, they do seem to care about each other. And, call it imagination, but when Lance is flirting with girls, Keith always looks mad, jealous even. And the show seems to be pushing the fact that there might be more, like from one of most Klance shippers' favorite lines, "we had a bonding moment, I cradled you in my arms." Wow.... I'm actually surprised I ship Klance to the extent I do. When I first started Voltron, I just couldn't see Keith and Lance together. There wasn't enough interaction between them for my liking, and I preferred the dynamic between Keith and Shiro. But, somewhere along the line it just grew on me. I don't know when, and I don't know how but it ended up being one of my most favourite ships. Honest to god, Klance has some of the most beautiful fanworks I have ever seen; the edits, fanfiction, and fanart are honestly spectacular. I am happy multi-shipping trash. :'D

How I got into the Voltron fandom was through the Klance ship I was literally shipping them before i had even watched the show

I'm klance trash and yeah I agree with Keith's character reveal needing major work. It was so anticlimactic and lazily written. But I'm still excited for season 3! And I really want more Hunk and Lance screen time because damn I felt like they were hardly shown in s2.

In season 3 there are a couple Klance moments. Not the sulky rival ones, but the real deep klance momemts

Honestly, Klance has the highest chance of becoming canon. Jeremy Shada after all said, "But I think there is, to some extent, at some point you'll find that one person that above all you kind of fall in love with a little bit and realize that it's nice to have that one person than kind of just going all over the place. Not spoiling too much, but yeah. He'll [Lance] will mature in all ways." and then later in the interview he mentions how he thinks it'll be funny if they do put Keith and Lance together since they like hate each other, but also really like each other as friends and and teammates. That more of that would be cool.

Watching this again. I think Klance has lots of potential, and that their rivalry seems more playful than not.

One of the creators even said they only thing they don't like about it is the name They specifically said "I think it's a good ship but the name doesn't make sense because it's just K Lance. It could use some work."

If someone thinks Keith and Lance actually dislike each other, it means they didn't watch the show correctly. "Keith is the one who jumps inside black holes and all that cool junk" Lance's words to a complete stranger. I don't even need to mention the bonding moment??? Their bickering comes from some of Lance's deep insecurities, like feeling replaceable and feeling like Keith is better than him at everything. Tbh if someone straight up told me I'm only doing the thing I've always dreamed to do because the previous guy quit, I'd try to get under his skin to prove he isn't such a Hot Shit™ too. But yeah, I have a feeling Lance's insecurities will get development on season 3 and as some of it regard Keith, Klance will probably have more screen time.

I do love Klance to bits, but hey... my otp is Shiro and Allura.

It was amazing. As a multishipper (sheith and klance) I think it was very well made. ^^ As long as shippers are nice to each other everything is fine. It is just the antis that are a problem.

I think that the simpleness of the show is part of its appeal. For the people watching for the nostalgia, what the show lacks in similarity to the original, if makes up for in its cheerful childishness, bringing back its nostalgic appeal. And for the new viewers, such as myself, the simpleness is a nice change of pace from the complicated plots of most mainstream anime. They pile on so much random blah into these newer shows, its harder to follow them. The lack of the piles and piles of stuff in voltron is why its so amazing. Sometimes we need a break from overly complicated characters so we can appreciate the simpler things. And as for the appeal of Klance, its the same kind of thing that people who ship Gratsu and Sasunaru would like. The rivalry, in most fan made works, is described to actually be the result of passion, Hate or Love, as well as raw sexual tension. And for the rivalry between Sheith and Klance, I can't say. Fangirls are overdramatic, I would know, being one myself. I don't ship Sheith , but I respect it. I just won't read it. Too many daddy kinks.

As a multishipper, I definitely try my best as to not get tangled in the shipping discourse. Some of the multishippers in the Voltron Fandom get enough hate on both sides. I ship almost anyone that has enough chemistry. I ship Klance, Hance, Sheith, Shance, Shallura, Shidge, Pance(?), and even Shiro/Lance/Keith. Multishippers don't judge or hate; we're understanding people who will respect anyone's opinion towards a ship. #NoHate

So, I started shipping Klance before I actually watched the show. Then I did, or at least the first season, and like, I can get where people are getting it from, but I didn't really feel that I would ship it if there was no fandom. I tend to avoid ships in this show. I like that people have fun with it, but I'm neutral about most and uncomfortable about others. I like the family dynamic more, especially since Allura, Keith, Lance and Pidge have issues with their families (either dead, just not there, left behind or missing).
