For “TACTICAL” use, I never liked the secondary switch on my Klarus lights. My solution was to cut a small piece of plastic, I used a small zip-tie, formed a C shape and tucked it under the secondary switch, blocking it from functioning. For added security, I used some shrink tube around the battery cap to keep the plastic from backing out!

I've just reviewed the XT11R and I'm pressing both together again! Took me ages to remember the iffy design

Good detective work Wako! I new it couldn't be the discharge rating of the battery in the XT11X because the current demand of that light on turbo setting will be less than 5amp. Current draw of the XT21X is similar.

If secondary switch causes confusion for user, then it is a design flaw. No matter if flashlight works, the switches should operate as expected, without detective analysis. You are too generous, sir.

Klarus XT11X also has issue with the battery. The cell is Samsung 30Q and the performance often goes down after several times of draining and charging, light doesn't get to maximum Turbo 3200(only 2000). Changing to more consistent and higher Amp battery will solve the issue. VTC6 or Samsung 25R are good for this flashlight.

Don't know what bothers him really... I have the exact same one XT11X with a Klarus name and model placed on the right side on the flashlight. The includeed battery is also the same, i ran the flashlight on turbo for 10mins just to see what happens. Never had any stepdown after that. The switch is very normal also.

These Keeppower batteries are the best!
