Fabulous photography, this movie is better than any Hollywood production. This reminds The Exception where there is also a certain attraction between opposite sides and espionage plot. He really fell in love but she seems to be more afraid of him than anything and that leaves no room for anything else. The eyes of the actor who plays Klaus are magnificent, a shocking blue color. I can spend a long time looking at these scenes and never get tired.
And he wasn’t in love with her that was OBVIOUS….he was only angry that the inferior tank guy might be in love in her it was a GAME…..but sure go ahead marry a man like this. I did. It’d your worst nightmare.
@@6Haunted-Days It's not a game. He saved her from the boss of the camp and he kept her as his own translator. Now, he want to save her again because he perfectly knows Germany is going to be destroyed. That's why he told her she has one week to think about his proposal.
After watching this movie, a lot of time has passed and I still wondered if Jäger was sincere in this moment. To be honest, I was very doubtful, because he is a Standartenfuhrer, for whom purity of blood is above all, and here he makes an offer to "expendable material", racially inferior. It all looked like a game, especially after Jäger saw Ivushkin and Anna exchanging glances. But now I understand that I really proposed to her seriously. If you notice, after Anna's answer that she had no one during the war, he hesitates, his lips almost tremble; why would he worry if it was all his game? After that, he smiles discontentedly when Anna talks about the interview and tries to justify herself: "You're confusing me with someone else." And the key moment is when at 2:22 he looks at her reproachfully when he asks about sympathy for Ivushkin. By the way, even when Jäger says that her house is no longer there, she needs to build a new one and kisses her hand, gazing intently into her eyes, as a sign that, they say, I am your new home. And about the fact that he said that she was his trophy, Jäger only emphasized his importance to Ivushkin, because he also saw her sympathy.
@@bloodspritz4156 it was removed at one point. I saw the movie on YT and it was a long version and a shorter one. This scene was in the longer one, but couldn't find it anymore.
I don't think he was sincere, he was testing her. He saw the way she and Ivushkin looked at each other. And probably sensed that Ivushkin was up to something.
He was flirting with her from the beginning. So I don’t think he was playing games. Also his character through movie is portrayed as honest and honorable. He also honored her from the beginning by always calling her with her name and he had no gain by testing her like that.
