Klay Thompson sets the NBA recored for most 3s in a game with 14, surpassing teammate Stephen Curry's 13. He scored 52 points in the game in just 26 minutes through 3 quarters.
things like this arent new. chris bosh was a 3rd scoring option, after lebron and wade rondo was a 4th scoring option, after pierce, ray allen, garnett kawhi was a 3rd scoring optoin, after duncan, ginobli
@@ninjedi6710 None of these third options match up to Thompson's shooting ability. He has averaged over 40% on threes every season he has played, on 7 attempts per game. That is extremely high volume accuracy.
Doesn't matter if it wasn't a home game, he could have had a bad game at home! Superstars play good weather there home or not, they see no crowd at the end of the day.
Steph is one of the most unselfish super stars in the game. Had the record for most 3's in a game, and still keeps feeding the man that's about to break that record. I know it's about winning games at the end of the day, but still, not all super stars would do that.
@@gregansbootstrap5352 Whoa dude, calm down. This is a safe space don't worry. I'm honestly not even a Steph Curry fan, I was just making an observation.
@@mach5240 Curry took a full quarter+ longer to get to 13 however....Klay is far from "impressive" LOL. He in his own way is legendary too. 60 points in 3Qs and 37 in a single one, c'mon man!
DeeboWrld 416 Doesn’t matter Klay can create for himself and he’s way more efficient like I said. Klay thrives on any team, Harden has only been successful with the offense built around him
DeeboWrld 416 Actually every single thing I’ve said so far is true. Klay is more efficient than Harden AND as every non braindead NBA fan knows he can create his own shot. Have you even watched him play? Making yourself look like a casual out here...
@@konrah1486 Klay, 40% with 7 attempts. Harden, 35% with 12 attempts. Obviously Klay gonna shoot better if he shoots almost 2 times less. Also, creating your shot means you make your own oppurtunities happen. Klay sits in the corner and waits for his teamates to pass to him 90% of the time whereas Harden has to dribble into to his shot and create his own space, like Curry. If u still don't understand then u either a bandwagon delusional dumbass or just stupid
@@vellstraus1555 Yes thats why we might see a comeback this year. Their shooting ability only goes up with time. They aren’t playing an athletic playstyle (ofc they are top athletes)They only have to be healthy. Next year they will be playoff candidates. With a player like giannis they would be title favorite. They need some offensive big player who attacks the rim like giannis. These 3 players and it doesn’t matter who are the players besides them and on the bench
He is good ill give him that, but yeah as you said it klay is another level also duncan defense is nowhere near close to klay lmao he got targeted by lebron everytime in the PnR.
I love how Steph was supporting him the whole game, giving him the ball while he was trying to break it, and not caring because he is a good teammate like that 😌
@@Humanbodymentorshipacademy Yeah and the thing is, the original commenter is saying that without realizing Kobe has had multiple times where he could have gone for 80+ apart from the time he did, but either only played a half or the 1st 3 quarters. So whatever score Klay could have ended up with, we can say the same for Kobe. And the coaches on a whole are not going to risk injury unless its literally the finals.
Imagine if he was playing like he did in the third quarter against the kings when he dropped 37 in the third.... imagine if he was playing like that this whole game... and if he played the fourth quarter in this game.... EASILY 20
Remember the entire legacy of the bulls was built off the historic success of the michael jordan teams. When another instance comes around I assume they can appreciate greatness as basketball fans regardless of team, because the whole world felt that for their team at one point.
Shows u how selfless Stephen curry is to help him try and beat his own record! Like wow! U can’t beat that! I’m more impressed with curry than klay! Curry just wanted to see someone beat his 13 3 pointer record!
Curry is like that, he is great leading the charge, and if someone else is hot he is fine feeding them the ball, like he did on Klay's 37 point 3rd quarter show
curry has the playoff and all star game record for most 3's in a game, now he wants his regular season record back lol haha, jk curry dont care about records just doing the best he can to help his team win thats a true teammate
Klay on some 2k player stuff right here... Simply amazing.... Also, Steph Curry, what a man, not only he celebrates his record being broken, but also facilitating Klay on every occasion possible. Even on the last one, he moves around just so he makes space for Klay. Legends
Klays shooting form is a thing of beauty. Simple, economical and easy When you can stop and shoot or shoot while still in motion, you know that's a great shooting form
This team was absurd. I never really appreciated them when they were playing cause I hated this team. But now watching their highlights this was amazing to watch 👌👌👌
I’m a Bulls fan and I’m here after seeing his comments after getting snubbed… bro is so great and we all know he belongs on that 75 list. Cant wait to see Klay back on the court, the NBA is better when he’s out there.
I love that shot at 2:33 because you can literally hear the crown gasp and sigh collectively at how absurd a shooter Klay is. Like that shot changed it from "this guy is an opposing player scoring against us" to "this guy is an all-time shooter and we get to watch him play here today".
Steph is the undisputed greatest shooter of all time but Klay is the greatest scorer of all time. His 37 point quarter and 63 points in less than 3 quarters(separate games) is all the proof anyone needs.
this warrios team was unstoppable draymons playmaking and finishing , kd athleticness and shooting , currys shooting and dribbling klay best spot up 3 shooter , like how do you even guard all that
GSW breaking record on Chicago homecourt and getting big cheers and support by the fans!! these fans are great because they know what Greatness is (MJ's Chicago 2x3peat team).. damn!
I'm a wagoner dubs fan but the part of their game i absolutely love is the unselfish nature. Who ever is hot they feed them the ball. I believe if DG got hot one night they would feed him till he cooled
These warriors were so different they literally got to chose if they wanted to win every night and whenever they wanted, the game would just be over by the third quarter and they would start coaching themselves or just leave. Most overpowering team ever and it will never be replicated.
Klay Thompson is a class act. He gets the NBA record in the 3rd, and then leaves. He doesn't simply grind it in. Besides that he doesn't make waves for his teammates by shooting off his mouth. On the court he knows how to defend, knows how to get rebounds, and knows how to move without the ball. Both he and Curry move without the ball creating many open looks. But you don't get to beat the NBA scoring record by taking the summer off. He has obviously put in the time to get his shooting eye. Playing "second fiddle" to Curry cannot be easy. Just as Kevin McHale was second fiddle to Larry Bird, but was still an incredible talent in his own right, so Klay is to Curry. It is a true pleasure watching this man play.
14 threes in less than 3 quarters. 3:30 Imagine if he played 4 more minutes In the third and 8 to 10 more minutes in the 4th. He could have had 20 threes.
Crazy that both of his records could have led to more. His career high he didn't even the 4th and this game he didn't even play the 4th. People still argue that team isn't the best team ever assembled.
This record will almost certainly get broken eventually, but I can't imagine it gets broken in the third quarter like Klay did. There were 16 minutes left when they took him out. Incredible.
Looks like you came here for your Klay fix too. Same true for his 60pt performance. If the team was not so good and they were not blowing away the competition nightly, I am convinced Klay would have gone for 100 by now. I think Wilt stayed in the game long past when the game was decided and needed 2OTs. Here is the math if he had kept up his scoring pace (who knows, maybe he increases it): 60/29 = 2.07 pts per min 2.07 X 19 = 39.33 pts 60 + 39.93 = 99.93 pts (call it 100)
@@songshineoriginalmusic I'm currently watching all of Klays greatest moments. 37 in a quarter, 14 threes, his career high. Can't wait for him to play again tomorrow
just think about how insane this is. He's probably the second best shooter of all time, with maybe more shooting records than anyone else, besides you know who, yet he isn't even the best shooter on his team. That warriors team was unbelievably good.
