I understand people think he id legitimately not there, but it is similar to Manu to me. They say they want you to sacrifice even greater individual prestige for winning and your team, but when you do it, they punish you for that and question your legacy.
I'm no Warriors fan, but this is one of my favorite sports moments of all time. The crowd slowly realizing Klay isn't missing and each shot being more exciting than the last. Legendary game.
@@Guilherme-ys7io I love seeing Klay Thompson getting destroyed by Keegan Murray.....lmao....going scoreless and 0-11.....Thompson sucks and is washed up....
NGL (and won't be mad if anyone says I'm overstepping, it's understandable) but the moment Curry was first claimed as the best shooter ever (before breaking the final record) I've been saying wherever Curry is ranked, Klay is automatically right behind him. So 2nd for me. BUT I'm totally fine with saying top 5, and I think everyone can agree. If I guessed your list are your other 4 (in any order) Curry/Bird//Miller/Allen?
Definitely. I was at this game and ridiculous doesn’t even come close to describing the atmosphere and vibe in the arena that night. Blatant brilliance that night.
Probably, in general, without a doubt, the reason why I keep watching this, is because this is hands down the most electrifying performance I've ever seen in my basketball-watching life. I mean, Klay lit them up something crazy here.
@@spliffbayless3609 I did see that. But he scored 60 points in four quarters. I was referring specifically to the 37 points Klay scored in one quarter.
@@spliffbayless3609 exactly what the other guy said, but also it took him 50 shots💀37 in a quarter is much more impressive than 60 on 50 shots for a whole game. Love Kobe tho.
5:34 The joy on Curry's face. THAT'S the type of teammate you want. Completely capable in his own game, but willing to dish you the ball, and give you all the glory when it's your time.
Watch whenever Klay beats his three point record too! Such an unselfish superstar, so happy that he got paired with my favorite player Klay Thompson😭🙏🏽🙏🏽🏀
the most underrated achievement in history. think of how insane it is that a player would essentially have to score 40 points in one quarter to break this.
And not miss a shot, in 9 minutes. Throwing up some prayer shots to boot. Hitting the and one when it didn't count. Not missing a shot or free-throw. That won't be replicated or duplicated, only tried to be imulated .
The most impressive thing about that clip was everyone started to give him the ball when he got hot. That is part of why they are so good. Unselfishness.
Pablo Camareno Nah he’s pretty good at passing the ball around, probably the best playmaker on the Warriors rn lol that’s when you know the Warriors are ass. Only decent player is Draymond and maybe Eric Pashcal.
gingataisen I still believe Curry is going off next season. Maybe even in the MVP discussion, he doesn’t have anyone to share the ball with. So his load management is far too great.
Coming back to watch some legendary Warriors moments in honor of their 4th championship with this dynasty core. What an absolutely historic performance. I’m a Knicks fan and live in NY so I don’t see all the west coast games year after year but goddamn what a gift this is. Steph Klay Dray etc. God tier
I Heard about this for the 1st TIME LAST NIGHT, AND I DIDDNT BELIEVE IT, UNTIL NOW! IM ABOUT TO CLICK PLAY RIGHT NOW!.. dangggggggg !!!! ,and I'ma #SacramentoKingsFaithful ... but I'm here to show my Respect . You dig? God Bless!
It's the greatest quarter of basketball that we've ever seen. No 4th quarter Jordan or Kobe has had can top this. The buzzer beaters and all. This was dominance incarnate.
@Mike Bell you have some problems that I can't help with everyone in this chat agrees that Klay being ranked higher is a fact. Your just too slow to realize
Imagine Mike Breen commentating this game. "Klay for three, It's good!" "Klay again, got it!" "Thompson another three, Bang!" and another Bang and another Bang and another Bang!
37 pts on 12/12 shooting is probably better than almost anyone else's best game, even many all time greats. If a team could get near that kind of efficiency they'd end up with about 300 or 400 pts in one game.
Jr Smith gave him that scar intentionally fouling him on a dirty play. that's when I knew Cleveland stood no chance. klay was busting Jr ass then had to sit out after that dirty play
This is the definition of perfect teamwork. The entire warriors team just kept feeding Klay because he could not miss. One of the best performances of all time
@@davidvivsik6576 for real man, imagine watching your team loosing by 12 points with 35 secs to go, and then... Anyway, that's like a 260 points per 10 minutes ratio
Even more incredible is that he didn't take a shot till there was less then 10 minutes in the quarter, and he had only had like 8 in almost half the quarter. The last 6 minutes and 5 seconds he scored 29 pts....really 29 pts in half a quarter is out of this world.
no what's more insane is that curry made a 3 in less than a second..... 3 pts in less than a second that's 3 times 60 seconds times 12 mins/qtr times 4 qtrs is 8640 pts a game wow
I'm back here because tomorrow is 01/09/22, the day Klay returns to the Warriors since his 2019 NBA finals injury. Had to come back and witness the past before seeing the future 🏀😎
Justin Sims Seriously, if your a King and you see the 3 pointer bounce in, or that corner three where Klay didn't even get to set his feet right. Your probably thinking, " How the fuck can we win?! He won't friggin miss!"
The Famalam . LMAO bruhh.. fucen hate that guy. warriors will be right back tho. they were down 2-1 before :) Lebron is doing gud tho. hes averaging two travels a game that never get called cus the officials are afraid of him
Pogba is The Goat damn i hate frazier lol i think he gets too annoying. Breen is great though, he's always in the game. You could tell he likes his job.
I watched this game in Australia live in my local pub. The staff had to almost restrain me, I was jumping up and down, and old regulars that were having a quiet beer and a bet on the races , were getting a bit miffed. What an incredible performance by Klay, and the fact that I got to experience my favourite player, having his best performance, in real-time.... OMG! What a day!
Something I never noticed before: Steve Kerr had publicly said after the game that at halftime, he was so angry that he said he wasn't going to call any more plays the rest of the game. The players were on their own. Fortunately, Klay Thompson happened in the 3rd. And without Kerr calling plays, take a look at the huddle at the 6:12 mark. David Lee covers his mouth, but you can bet he's saying "Elevator Doors"--the Warriors' signature play last year, and you can even see his hand motion that signals the Elevator Doors play. On the ensuing Warriors possession, which for some reason is not shown in this video, the Warriors run that Elevator Doors play, where Lee and Green "close the doors," blocking Klay's defender and freeing up Klay for an open 3, which he hit. Nothing major--I just thought it was cool that the players, without their coach, recognized Klay's history-in-the-making, and drew up their own play for him in that 3rd quarter.
this comment is 3 years old and i don't know shit about basketball but what kind of dumbass coach gets so upset he stops calling plays? that's just self sabotage
Richard Smoker All Great Coaches have left players out there to figure it out whether its them getting torched or doing the torching...Phil Jackson was real famous for it Pat Riley,Chuck Daily,Popovich,Larry Brown etc..Do some homework & u will realize how great this game of basketball is
@@alejandroserrano7755 all he does is catch and shoot because his release is so damn fast. he doesn’t need to move around. he’ll be the same exact player just like curry this year.
does anyone ahve the stat line from the 3rd qtr beyond his points? I think he missed some shots, i cant recall. I saw it so long ago. I remember his lack of dribbles
I can not stand the warriors. But the one guy I can’t talk shit about, have the utmost respect for is fucking Klay Thompson. This was shocking and being a former high level athlete sad and just devastating
@@IAmCrazyForCod5 me neither, and even if i did, i wouldn't "pray" for shit, he is a multi-millionaire, he will have A+ treatment, sitting out and getting paid millions. Doesn't sound bad at all, and certainly not in need for "praying".
cant wait for this beast to comeback. i know he suffered an injury but knowing this guy and his mentality, he definitely coming back to at least (at least, gotta emphasize at least) 75% his old self, which is still such a crazy threat knowing the current warriors line up.
Agreed. I dislike the team but I like almost all the players who were there (Klay, Iggy, Dray, even KD). Curry to me is possibly the most disrespected all time great
And remember, with basically no personnel changes except for coach Kerr (and defensive genius Ron Myers) they become the best team in the world for 5 years.
anodyne57 it’s easy to forget they could be the best team in the league again next season. Steph Klay Dray and could easily pull in another all star with Wiggins and their picks
honestly i think it was a compliment, he’s expected to miss most if not all the season yet he’s ranked quite high for the season. KD didn’t even make the rankings.
@@S97421 well the rookies have never played an official game at all not one, have no nba reputation or stat, and other injured stars are well ahead of him. it was a shame not a compliment an insult.
Klay is a a great shooter the majority of the time, but when Klay is really feeling it, it’s something remarkable. This and the sixty point game I remember watching live just in awe of what he was doing.
