Yeah but he can’t guard anyone anymore…can you imagine him Luka and Kyrie on the court at the same time…wing/Guard heavy teams (Celts,Okc,6ers) are going to expose them
Luka & Kyrie gonna dish dude so many wise & wide open spot up jumper 3s it's gonna turn his career around in a major positive way. Might even grab another ring 💍 🏆 while hes cliqued up with a real championship contending team going into 2024-2025 season & he won't have mavs fans jumping ship 🚢 ⚓️ on dude & calling him "washed" over one bad game playoffs or regular season performance. Promise ya he will mesh well in Dallas and definitely get the respect, money 💰 🤑 💸 and starting position he deserves as a big 3 offensive team.
Does no one remember how EVERY big name ever linked to the Mavs just used them as leverage to get contracts from other teams and never had any intent to actually go to Dallas?
Warriors offered Klay 48 million for 2 years after paying him 43 million a year for 2 years of rehab. Klay turned it down. Seems to me is that Klay was not willing to work with the needs of the Warriors after they did the right thing, patiently waiting for him to return [not trading him] and paying him a lot in that rehab time. No respect???? Hardly....... Klay has been pouting and complaining for the last 5 years. Its time for everyone to move on. Klay wants his bag and the Warriors are not willing to make that sacrifice or take the risk that Klay will get hurt again and they will again be paying for his rehab.....so someone else has to provide the bag and take that risk. Klay went 0-10 in his last playoff game........ Chris Paul and Klay with a combined salary of 73 million dollars combined for 7 points in their last playoff game. Warriors have to move on........
You have the memory of a fish and very little intelligence. Klay is one of the reasons the Warriors franchise is among the most valuable franchises in sports today. The Warriors don’t win a single championship without Klay. In a “bad” season, Klay had 18ppg and made 268 3-pointers. Think about that as you come up with another ridiculous thesis to justify the nonsense you just posted.
And he came back and won them a championship. Then the Warriors paid the young guys who clearly struggled the following seasons. It seems like the Warriors forgot the second splash bro after 1 trash season. Trade Wiggs, keep Klay. So much bias, talkin bout Klay complaining bout last 5 years. And you don't make a decision on a guy of Klay's caliber and career just off one play-in game. Casuals like you gotta stop typing paragraphs.
They didn't do him any favors by paying him when he was injured, despite him suffering two devastating injuries while playing for them. He underwent surgery twice, enduring the physical and emotional toll. Do you grasp the pain and suffering he endured during these periods? It wasn't like he was idly enjoying himself; he was working hard to recover. Paying athletes their due, regardless of injury, is a contractual obligation. So, there's no need to say he should be grateful. It's just part of the deal to compensate him.
Mavs NEED (not NEEDS). And Klay was AGAIN his usual HOF level after All-Star break- until the play-in game. He should retire a Warrior and mentor the young guns
Klay should go to the Mavs!! They will legit get back to the finals with the additions of him playing alongside Luka and Kyrie they have to be favorites to come out of the west outside of Denver, Timberwolves and OKC
Let's be real. If Klay did leave, Lakers are at the top of the list. His dad is a Lakers champion, he will still be near his boat and it's still California.
@@ZoraDelaney that don't matter to everyone. It's still not California. If Klay became a Laker, and balled out, he might get new commercial money from a company. Balling out next to LeBron is way different than Steph.
@@pmarcusbABSOLUTE DEMENTED BS, he'd be much better off with dallas, everyone's leaving california, it's declining rapidly, dallas would he much better for him
He should but he wants to rob them for 30 or 40 mil a year .. he's past his prime and major injuries cost him youth... and he's delulu thinking he can get 30 or 40 mil a year.. they probably offered him a 20mill or less contract and he felt disrespected . Well brother klay u the one who shot like 1/12 in his last playoff game . He's done .
The grass always seem greener especially when emotions are involved but rarely lives up to expectations. This needs to be a thoughtful decision by Klay.
Klay will be a Dallas maverick 5 years 150 million fully guaranteed he would work good with the Knicks but cap issues or a crazy idea he could go to the pacers now that would be epic and he might be able to hit more 3 points shot all time record even the kings would be a good fit
Warriors fans went from saying that PG trade announcement is gonna hit like crack to pulling out a pipe and doing crack after how things have transpired.
@@jdagreat4595Y’all thought y’all was replacing him with PG and now y’all don’t have either is the point here 😂. Warriors turn on the guys that helped them win so fast lol. It’s comical. First KD then Poole and now Klay.
Y’all tripping saying the man washed up. Since the all star break he averaged 19ppg on 45%fg, 41%3pt and 95%ft in 28mins a game. He’s a great asset for a contender!
All he has to do is stop shooting off-balance and off-the-dribble. I hate how everyone is saying he's washed. How do you get washed from shooting?😭 Trade soft Wiggins instead instead of trading a champion and HOF shooter.
If Klay leaves 20 years from now in the Warriors Dynasty documentary hes gonna say he was selfish for not understanding that he needed to be the 6th man
@@rich2586 but he cant because he ain't a franchise player. he became good because of curry taking all the attention and opposing team leaves klay him open
Don't think so. CBA changes that narrative. Taking less money as a multimillionaire to be happy playing? Playing meaningful minutes on the back half of a career means something.
@@bigkeezo what other players have we had interest in that turned us down? From what I've read KLAY is interested in the Mavs and that might and I believe some others would've come this way if they could've afforded them. Dallas is a beautiful city, Jason Kidd is a player's coach and compared to the crowded urban environment of Philly and New York or having to deal with those nasty Boston fans, it's a great choice.
@@djangoknightmight as well 😂. Better location, you know bron will set him up good therefore klay ain't gotta run for dear life to take a shot, follow his father's footsteps by playing for the lakers. Space jams bro lol😂😂😂 bron, ad, n klay
This is a business, if the Bulls let the GOAT go,no one is safe. Klay is not as good as b4 because of injuries. Everybody know it. Sure he got paid 2 years when he was injured. However,it’s was on the job injury. He should get paid for it, just like anyone who get injuries on the job in any businesses. Klay and Warriors shouldn’t take it personally.
I really don’t want to see klay in another uniform but can’t blame him, to me the worriors disrespected him.klay had two major injuries and came back and won them a championship how many people does that
The Warriors gave him a max contract while he was injured, knowing he would be out for a year then ended up injured for two seasons. Klay should be more grateful
It would be letdown for Mavs fans, and Mavs fans alone. Going to the Lakers keeps him in California, gives him the chance to play for his Dad's team, and living in sunny LA where he has easy access to boating. Dallas is landlocked, and he has no ties to the area.
If that's the only thing important in his career is Westcoast lifestyle living and not basketball yeh.. 🏝 over 💰 💍 🏆 🤷 but if he wants to fit into a contending championship ready team Mavs gonna pay dude and give him that respect he looking for. Klay being a bench player on Lakers and OKC or 76ers he ain't gonna like the outcome. I'm sure he wants to win another championship ring before retiring too and were the best shot for that currently in the west.🏆
If sixers keep heild now that tbey have george they have great 3 s from the wing with maxey who could shoot i mean man they look like a threat . Oubre n Drummond huge
The fact that the warriors failed miserably this offseason is mind boggling. Let cp3 walk for nothing and now klay. They seriously need a new gm. He got a good eye for talent in the draft but very scary of making a trade.
They let CP3 walk because of the luxury tax. Everybody knew they were going to waive CP3 because they were already negotiating and sharing their projected tax bill without the CP3 contract amount way before officially waiving him. When you trade a player, whatever players you receive and their contracts impacts your tax bill. Plus they need more talent around Steph, they can’t do that with the CP3 contract and they can’t offer Klay a decent contract that’s acceptable either with the CP3 contract. The writing was already on the wall.
Mavs is best for him! Luka and Kyrie will be double teamed especially in deep playoff games.. Klay will be getting open looks from three and alot of catch & shots 2 pointers
Imagine he got overpaid from the past 2 years for doing absolutely nothing, I mean it’s a good decision for him leaving the warriors. It’s a win-win situation.
I don't think anyone would deny the fact klay isn't same anymore but the fact that people like u keep using that one game to determine his worth is crazy lol find something else come with something better than that 1 game
@@blakshe3p596 stfu , kd literally carried him 2 chips, finals mvp. You acting like draymond ain’t a triple single. If your gonna speak, do better otherwise keep making a fool of yourself by trying to say that nonsense 😂😂😂😂
Perk is right, Steph should have enough juice to tell the front office to get Klay's contact extension handled quick because he doesn't want to lose him. You know Klay feels disrespected.
Klay got his max contract while he was injured. That's how much GSW respects him. Even if Steph talks to the front office, if Klay insists on his max contract (which he doesn't deserve as of the moment), Steph can only see Klay walk out of the front door.
@@detaramegaming and when he came back, he helped them win a championship. Paying Poole and Wiggins but not getting a contract done with him, trying to go cheap is super disrespectful.
@@pmarcusb it is also an issue of Salary Cap space. GSW was #1 on last year's luxury tax (176M). Giving Klay a max contract, paying luxury tax and getting a first round/play-in exit is not good for business. They could offer him around the same salary as Wiggs since they have around 24M space after releasing CP3. Any more than that will mean they won't be getting any free agents because they will have cap space issues again. Klay is at 43M/year player, if he refuses a pay cut then he and the organization has no choice but to part ways. I am speaking as a GSW fan.
What a sad day. How did it get to this point? Feels so avoidable but yet probably inevitable. Can't wait for the 30 for 30 or Last Dance thing for the Warriors to learn what went on. 🏀💔😢
Bro scored 18 points in a game on a downhill warriors team where the only two options are curry and him. If he gets on a team like mavs he getting wide open looks all day. Trust me klay been hearing the talk. He’s coming back strong He’s only 34 too.
RJ touched on it a bit. Has anyone taken a step back and thought how it must look from Clays shoes seeing a team give another player and extension that causes so many problems for their team in Draymond but appear not to be willing to work with him?
