Review of Klean Kanteen’s Classic, Non-Insulated, Stainless Steel Water Bottle. One of the original stainless steel water bottles of the modern water-bottle era. You can purchase here: amzn.to/3qPrCuo
Another major pro for single wall stainless steel bottles is you can boil water in them (unpainted, so a brushed steel version of the bottle you reviewed, and w/o the plastic cap)
My wife has an insulated Hydro Flask and my kids insulated Klean Kanteen. The Klean Kanteen seem to hold ice a touch longer and are tougher. The Hydro Flask dent easier. KK make all sorts of lids such as straw lids.
I can't speak officially to reliability, but I do feel like klean kanteen has just been around longer, and i know more people who have had them for longer, which does inspire confidence. and true about the lids!
My default bottle is a 40oz Hydroflask which I use with the straw top (they are not pleasant to drink directly from, in my opinion). I wanted a non insulated bottle for lightness. For use in a vehicle, I wanted that narrower neck to limit splashing over bumps and turns if I have the cap off. I also didn't want that sport top, so I ended up with the "reflect" line which comes default with a twist top. The overall reason I wanted the lightweight, single wall, twist top is so that I can throw this bottle in my sling bag without worry of leakage onto books or maps. I considered the "trail" line hydro flask makes but the reviews did not seem to indicate they would last very long. Your overview was dead-on with regard to bottles as well as old reliable manual transmission Toyotas
Great question. There definitely is some condensation, especially if you use ice when it's hot out. Not as much as a glass bottle though, if I remember correctly.
Still on my klean kanteen classic going on 5 years, solid water bottle If I ever lost mine I'd get another perhaps in a different color. Wish they had more print options though
I don't love the sports cup, especially since I bought it from GoodWill for $5. I don't know whose lips were on it last, ick. I'll happily spend a few dollars on a replacement cap.
I was gonna ask about the color but I saw somone else already did. 😂 I just found mine in the garage among all my stuff. I have the stainless steel color with bamboo on top of the screw cap. I bought it many, many years ago. I don't like sports caps for these bottles. I have one for my hydroflask. You cant clean them properly, feels disgusting to use. I like the hard plastic instead, on regular bottles.
