1 thing that surprises me about Klein is the lack of insulated tools until recently. A company that's known for their focus on electricians!!. I was shopping around for electrical tools early last year & wanted to buy American & bought mostly Knipex & some Wiha( the ones made in Germany) bc they have a wide assortment of insulated tools. Even so, I still considered Klein's multi-bit screwdrivers bc I like the designs but they r not made in the US & I make conscious effort to buy tools from their country of origin as much as I can even if I pay more(I paid more for Wiha's insulated torque screwdriver or the Chinese made 1). I want a USA company's tools made in USA, a German company's tools made in Germany, a Japanese company's tools made in Japan. We have to stop this madness!! It helps ur fellow countrymen & the environment. Tools made in China r never made to the respective company's exacting standards. Everthing get cheap when made in China.
Good review Sparky. I haven't really fallen in love with my 6 in 1 yet, it is nice to know that one driver has so many sizes but I try to have the right driver for the job when I can.
That is a nice tool Bill I'm going to order one right now thanks for the info... and by the way you're doing a beautiful job with the videos keep them coming there thanks..mike.👍.
Off topic , and late to the party , I’ve tried the Whia iteration of the 11 in 1 ( kinda a nut driver ) , handle ergonomics are superior , strength in the “ blade” to handle area looks much better . I’d be interested in your take ! Price point is comparable . ( $25.00 Canadian )
I got the 6 in 1 awhile ago while it is heavy i find it easier than carrying a set of spintites. A co-worker got the 5 in 1 and found he was missing a size and had to constantly borrow mine and was annoyed he couldn't find it in stores nearby. I haven't come across a situation yet where I didnt have the proper spintite so I can't see the benefit of the 7 in 1. I have heard of issues of the handles breaking through normal usage not even dropping or using them to drive thunderbolts, but ive never personally had that issue. I guess if it broke I'd checkout the Lenox as people are saying they are good and Irwin makes one but i haven't heard about how it is.
@Sparky Channel. Thanks Bill for another thorough review of these Klein multi nut drivers. Makes it easier to consider which one may be right for me. Hope you ad your family stay safe and well.
Klein's a little bulky for my tool pouch, and found a comparable model from Irwin 7-in-1 multi nut driver that's serves the same function and more compact, it's build quality is decent and heavy duty, and it's been very useful. Check it out on Amazon.
