I couldn’t resist purchasing this one for the pass thru. I bought it before I finished watching your video. Thanks Morgan for the content. You do the researching for me on tools 👍
Yeah I never bought the older one… it just looked way too big in the package. I think this one is pretty good. Thanks for sharing, always good to hear others opinions 👍
Alright this is scary... I was literally online putting an order in for a whole set of the Milwaukee pass thru nut drivers... 😳 thanks for saving my ass in the nick of time!!
@@MORGANSMaintenanceI'm hitting all my back channels and supplier connections to see if i can get this bad boy before it hits retail up here in Canada. I've been losing sleep not having it lol! Keep staring at that lone screwdriver slot in my Go bag that i made room for it... 😂
I’m more inKleined to go with the 11 in 1 ratchet driver 325000HDRT and 65300 Knect pass thru sockets. I like pass thru sockets so I don’t have to carry deep as well as shallow. Thanks as always for your time and talent.
I have the old one and keep it in my tool belt. The first thing I did was get rid of the handle and use just the shaft. This looks nice, it may be time for an upgrade. I still won’t use the handle though.
I actually wish i could buy Klein in the country i live in. Personally, i'm more of a Wiha/Wera/Wuerth guy when it comes to screwdrivers, but Klein has some really cool and useful tools.
WERA makes some good tools/screwdrivers. I like them. Klein does do some interesting stuff in their “multipurpose” drivers. They have come out with a lot of new stuff in the last few months.
I told Matt in the email they could have made this one so that somehow you could put a driver bit in the end… it would have been even better 😂 That may be next 🤷♂️
No I’m not sure. I haven’t had an issue with any of mine getting stuck. You could maybe try putting something through the handle side seeing if you can push it out.
Without the pass through feature, I wouldn’t have bought this one. This is one that will go in the drawers in my truck as a specialty tool, not a bag tool.
Man Klein is coming out with some really cool stuff, I just wish we weren't stuck with the same style handle. I hate their handles. This would be perfect for me If there was a 3/4 as well like with their new flip socket set. Obviously 3/4 sn't a nutdriver size but I use these for getting nuts started in the winter when I'm wearing thick gloves. Also I'm often putting nuts onto welded studs with some nasty threads so the handle helps get the nut threaded on all the way before I use an impact
I don’t normally prefer drivers with a lot of switching around… at least over dedicated ones in my pouch. I can switch handles in a pouch faster than swapping the pieces around. But if I’m just carrying one screwdriver into the unknown, I don’t mind them. In a tool bag where someone is trying to pack as few tools as possible, it might be a better option than 9 different handles. If this didn’t have the pass through I wouldn’t have bought it. I got it to put in my truck drawers as a compact tool that gives me an option for a situation that might come up that doesn’t take up a lot of drawer space. I agree though, some stuff is just another option that doesn’t really do anything different than their other tools.. it just looks different. Appreciate you watching and sharing your thoughts 👍👍
Can somebody please tell me where you purchased this nut driver? I am looking all over and I can't find it. And I can't even find it on their website. So somebody please help me out. Because I could really use this and save so much weight in my tool pouch
I’m not sure, someone else just commented the same thing. I can’t find them online anywhere. I got mine in store… but it’s weird that it’s like they disappeared and doesn’t say out of stock.
Surprisingly it seems they put this one out at Home Depot first… I thought they had kinda switched all that to Lowe’s. I’m not an Affiliate with Home Depot or Lowe’s. You can be one at Home Depot, but I’m not sure about Lowes
@@MORGANSMaintenance this I think is the ultimate multi nut driver for me, then pickup a set of Wiha 70487 6 Piece Color Coded Magnetic Nut Setter Metric Set to complete it
I tried.. the magnet is not set deep enough for you to get the bit in so that it doesn’t wobble. I was actually hoping you would be able to do that when I bought it.
I didn’t notice any. Only issue I noticed was My 7/16 was super tight, but it had a small burr that I had to remove. After that it was good. Is the wiggle in the shaft, or the handle? I will double check it tomorrow when I get in my bag.
@richiedorado3599 yeah if anything I felt like mine was too tight in those spots and was hoping it would loosen up. I will double check when I get in my bag though and make sure that I wasn’t paying close enough attention.
Mine does have a slight wiggle. It’s everywhere that attaches with those ball bearings. Mines not horrible, I probably wouldn’t have noticed it if you hadn’t said anything…. Thanks a lot 😂😂
Hahahahaj sorry man…. So I bought another one and it does the same thing. You are right though about the ball bearings. This is a great tho. Your video saved me from buying a whole set. Thank you! 🙏
Yeah it’s a little bit much. I don’t think I will put this in my bag as an everyday tool. It will just be a drawer specialty tool for the pass through option. 9 times out of 10, it will probably always stay on the same size when I use it.
@@MORGANSMaintenance Configuring some of the multi-function tools takes longer than going 50 meters to your car, taking the proper tools and going back.
@@MORGANSMaintenance Wera (WERA 003891) has this nice hook-and-loops rail, but it's way too long for the box I keep my 1/4 sockets. So I always have to do some "fishing" before I find the right one.
@@Stefan_Kawalec very true… that’s why I always say I like dedicated screwdrivers in a pouch even. I can usually swap screwdrivers faster than swapping bits around. The only reason I like multi-bit drivers is space saving in a grab bag that I take into the unknown job. If I know what I’m getting into, I load up a pouch and use dedicated tools. I don’t have a set pass through nut-drivers though (and don’t need them often enough to buy any), so.. I will keep this in my truck and if I know I am going to be using a 9/16, inch will set it up and throw it in a pouch. But sometimes multiple functions on tools can become too bothersome to use.
Sometimes… sometimes the nut is recessed where access with a wrench is not easy. (A nut on threaded rod on the inside of unistrut) Many tools are made for cases when another won’t work, even though that problem might not happen often. You can always get by with other tools, it just may not be as easy.
