Great review as always, been using for many moons. FYI hold down the power button for I think 3+ seconds, changes the tip color from green to blue. Keep it going catus.......
Where did u got it? How much? I have a tool from matco looks very similar but is to check if the coils are firing no detect anything else Now I'm curious if this tool would do the same job
I've been an electrician for 27 years, and have ALL makes of a non contact voltage detector, NEVER EVER fully trust these things.....NEVER..... There a great tool if you work with alot of knob and tube. But not trust worthy to garrentee a circuit is dead nor hot. Great review buddy !!!! 👍🏼😁👍🏼
Why should I believe you? I tested this thing like 25 times on various live wires and 25/25 it told it was live, and 10 out of 10 times it told me that dead wires were dead.
I've heard the kleins are much more sensitive than the flukes, which required getting closer to the source, and there are big debates over which is prefered -- or if you should be using these things at all. It seems to me that false positives are better than false negatives in situations where you'd use these pens (you can confirm any positive with a multimeter...a false negative you wouldn't know). But I don't know the the arguments, for I dare not go where angels fear to tread (online hobbyist forums).
Just get a fluke. Had this same klein tig tracer and it was unreliable as the the battery compartment wasn't tight enough so it would shut off while using it
You should first fully test it and use it before giving a review or even watch some of the other reviews. How can you teach others about its use, when you are not sure about its use yourself. Thanks for your effort.
Klein is a great tool but take it from an old sparky fluke is the way to go also some places won't let you on the floor with a battery operated voltage tester you must have a wiggy sorry for the spelling but it's required that only a non battery device is used some one probably lazy had bad battery and got shocked and OSHA gets involved bla bla bla you get the idea anyway fluke is what I used for years and simone's not a digital the old fashioned stuff big when I was in college for electric and electronics. Have fun great show and nice 🐈
