The Klines Lane railroad crossing is a rusty old crossing located near Chestnut Street in Emmaus PA. Until just recently it was the only mainline crossing in Emmaus, PA to have a mechanical bell, but it was recently replaced with an E-bell. The crossing is located between Harrison Street and 2nd Street at milepost 30.1 on Norfolk Southern's Reading Line, a two-track fast freight line that runs between Allentown and a junction with the Harrisburg Line. It has a cantilever on one side and a regular mast with attached bell and gate mechanism on the other. The cantilever is not equipped with a bell, but has an attached gate mechanism.
I recorded a few freight trains at this crossing.
