@@Splitlickity It was Ubby Dubby, none the less, so what if it was a rip off, it was funny. Because there has been comedy on TV`s cinema`s and stage for over 100 years, there is very little that is not a so called rip off, what is important is that it is relevant to the scene.
I love scenes showcasing polyglots in movies and tv shows, especially when they switch languages on the fly. This is one of my favorite TBBT scenes for that.
@@officialspock Howard speaks somewhere around 7 languages. He's a polyglot. Sheldon and Leonard are bilingual at minimum and I imagine Rajesh is trilingual at minimum.
I remember me and my friends speaking Ubbi Dubbi on the playground. We also tried speaking it in class but the teacher soon implemented a "No Ubbi Dubbi" rule
Kind of hated the end to this one, Penny wasn’t sorry at all and kept getting rid of his things. Ok, he should compromise some but let him have some of what makes him him, especially when it’s not in the way. Taking his key chain and an action figure on his work desk, that’s just petty.
Not only that but Leonard is a collector too which means the stuff she just throws out was worth a few grand maybe even more if they were limited edition. This is why episodes like this bug me. They’re so random and no one reacts like they’re pissed off.
I think Penny was taking his stuff and putting it in storage. In her defense, she was trying to make it livable for her too and not do what Stephenie did. Which was to completely erase all trace of the nerd that he was.
it is comedy - calm down - i am a guy this does not bother me - it is funny - penny is my fav character - you need to chill out and enjoy the show instead of judging fictional characters in a sitcom -
As good as the boys & penny were, the show was really completed when they got Bernadette & Amy in. Perfect foils for them all to bounce off, they made one of the best comedies in the last 30 years.
Fun fact: In Portugal, we have two oficial languages, portuguese and mirandês. The curious part is that, even no more than 3500 people speak mirandês (and I do), it still makes the Klingon effect on other people, making it a perfect way to curse, talk trash on someone or just mess with people.
Penny getting rid of Leonard's stuff should have been a deal breaker. Where does she get off doing that? Maybe Leonard should secretly get rid of some of Penny's shoe collection. Maybe Leonard should get a spine and stand up for himself. It's stuff like this that had me wishing through the entire series that Leonard would actually find a woman who respected and loved him, instead of ending up with Penny.

Considering he pretty much treater her like crap and sexualized her and treated her like a trophy, I think she’s the one that got the raw deal. He tried to force himself on her from the very beginning.

I’d be pretty mad and hurt that my girlfriend would do that to me; remove and take away my stuff like that. Some of the things I have will represent precious memories or gifts from fondly remembered relatives that are no longer with me.

I was married and it like playing a game of Survivor. When the two tribes merge, one by one, former members of one of the tribes goes away. In other words, piece by piece your old stuff goes away.
