Great video as always! I just ordered the Klirrton. They are both great pedals but I liked the clarity of the Klirrton slightly better. Keep up the great work...your channel is top notch.
I have an EHX Silencer and honestly it's around 1/4 of the price and it's never let me down. Fully intend to buy a Schnauze though, the built in boost is just the kind of extra that my Silencer could use. Great video as always, thanks! 🤘
I own the schnauze and have used a zuul. Both are amazing depends on the amp i found gates can be like boosts some amps favour one over another especially in the loop however the 4 cable method gives the schnauze the upper hand
Just as you click the schnauze on the first time it cuts to advert lol. I think the schnauze does a better job of detecting when a signal is going through or not. I have their OhMyGoat pedal and love it. Their stuff seems really good overall. What distortion are you using? Sounds brutal!
Very nice review as well as very well put, I feel like you truly showed a huge difference in the two and not in a way to shame either. Though I'd be curious to see how the Klirrton's boost would stack with other dirt pedals seems like a solid boost to hit your favorite OD with (I'm thinking the hexdrive or maybe even the grind to give it more push)
I do want to pick one of those up and I've talked with Jordan about it. I believe he's working on a newer, smaller version and I'd love to give that a shot.
More noise gates in the world = more fun! Great demo as always man. PS: In your opinion, how does something like the ISP Decimator compare to the more "extreme" or modern gates we have now? Used to own the G Decimator and it did the trick for me. peace
@@MetalHeadProductions I used to use a ISP decimate mini actually works really good but I also use the fortin zuul now..key input goes into the bypass on a tuner works perfect
I bought the hades ultra when it was promoted in this channel, it sucked and sold it. I asked Aries effects if they where going to demo the new hades gate and they replied with “it doesn’t make sense to make a demo on a pedal that doesn’t demo noise” I’m like whaaaat? Screw them. This is a good video and demo.
My guess is you used both gates of the ultra. The ultra was literally two gates in one pedal, and the hades is an aggressive gate, so for me, I didn't run my guitar into the first gate and the second gate in the loop, I just put each gate in the loop of two different amps and it worked great. Unless you're looking for that staccato djent style, using both gates in one setup would have been way overkill. I do prefer gates with a side chain and that you can do the four cable method, like the schnauze.
@@MetalHeadProductions yes at first I ran both in front and in loop then realized it was over kill. Then just ran it in the loop which was better but then again playing cleans would always cut the notes short. To me it wasn’t very versatile as I thought it would be to be able to play djenty to clean ambient. I dialed in the in frame dial as well and i just couldn’t find a happy medium. I feel like the Zuul and even the isp decemator or more versatile. Thank you for your replies bro. Love you channel.
To my ears the Schnauze did a better job, kept the sound of the cleans intact and was more precise in cutting the noise. Plus it has 4 cable method and a boost. A no-brainer against a pedal you need another pedal for (a splitter) to work ideally.
