MY INDOCHINA ULTIMATE BIRTHDAY TRAVEL (THAILAND-CAMBODIA-VIETNAM, MAY 4-12, 2024). Spent my 40th Birthday last year wandering around Hanoi, Halong Bay and Ninh Binh in Vietnam and had a wonderful time. From that moment on I made it a plan to see a new country every year. I wanted to be somewhere I’ve never been before for my birthday. I wanted to be surrounded by people I didn’t know in a different country. I wanted to spend my birthday solo traveling. This year I decided to see Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia for my 41st Birthday. But the flight to Siem Reap is expensive and no direct flights from Manila. After days of looking for cheap flights, I found an alternative. I booked a Manila-Bangkok-Ho Chi Minh-Manila flights. It is way cheaper. Got it for only ₱10,400 considering that I just booked it on April 22, 2024, two weeks before the travel dates. It’s great because I get to see again Thailand and Vietnam for the second time around. My first leg was a flight from Manila to Bangkok. I toured Bangkok & Pattaya and took a bus from Bangkok to Siem Reap, Cambodia for my Birthday Celebration then another bus from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh and explore the Mekong Delta & Saigon.
