This was all Tummy’s doing, good idea if you don’t have access to a mill, still worth it in my opinion.

Thanks for the video and ideas! I watched the video with Tummy's setup a couple of weeks ago as well. I like the minimalist and unobtrusive luggage rack that Kawasaki offers making this a great setup. I do wish that 3D would offer just the brackets without the plate, as mounting the brackets direct to the case would save weight. I'll have to email 3D with that suggestion.

Do you have any other mounting ideas I can look up for these cases that are some what quick release? I have a gen 1. I’m a newbie to all this and don’t have a milking machine to make those brackets. Your set up is awesome!!! I really really want to go this route the mounting options are kinda what’s slowing me down. I’m going to pick up the cases this week. Thank you for the idea.

Welcome, bud! You’d still want some sort of pannier system. Once you determine the pipe diameter, you should be able to find hardware to fits to attach to the case directly, or attach it to a heavy duty plastic cutting board then mount your box onto the case.

Something like these pipe straps could work: amzn.to/42IHDnD
