David that's an awesome table for you. Great choice! Especially with the accessories that came with it. You are the most self sufficient prepper that I know. Man, I still love your music. Don't change those horns.😃
I noticed in your FFWD video assembly that the top was already attached to the frame. I just ordered mine this morning because I saw it on sale but shipping wasn't cheap unless I spent $39.99 on a membership I'll never use. Then shipping would have cost $4.99 on top of the membership cost. I have the Harbor Freight table which is nice but you have to use your own clamps and there is really nothing to index your work to. Clamping in the middle of the table can be difficult on the HF model but I believe the top is a little more rigid and true.
Brent, its on sale for something like $160 and I used points built up and basically got it for free. I like that it is so inexpensive that you don't have to worry about messing it up when doing projects. I own it, it does not own me!
I will start with MIG welding it is far easier than electrodes or TIG. For reference there are some welding journals from the aws (to get the wealding parameters) and also the asme IX code for some quick reference, you search the wealding method and you have the essentials and non essential parameters.
Merry Christmas to you & your sweet family. Hope you are able to be together and have a wonderful celebration of our Saviors birth. He is still the Light 🎄 of this old world. We just have to patiently & prayerfully await His return. 🙏
