I'm 61 going on 62 this year of 2023 n still rocking to my 80s music. Night clubbing back in the day n loving it n having fun. Especially after hours. Thank you n continue playing our 80s music for everyone who loves it, young n old.
I’m 46 and still rocking the 80s 70s and90s . There will never be music like this anymore I grew up on all the best music and artists. Today these kids don’t know what real instruments, and real artists, with real talent, and real voices, sound like, yet alone what real music really is. These days were the best years ever. I miss them so so much. That’s why i need the old music.
I can feel the Beat on my chest and smell the Perfume the Babe's were sweating out as they dance in the local Club's.The 80's was very exciting to me !
Clubs, clubs,me and my sparkling outfit and my wide belt in gold low heels so I could dance, strutting to the dance floor, hair, makeup was looking good, it was hard back then to get my husband to dance with me but he finally got the hang of it . If someone else asked me to to dance he would say go, of course I couldn't I was only dancing for and with him thirty five years unconditional love and he died to lung and brain cancer one year and eight months ago.
OK so the video is super cheesy, but these women had talent!! Playin their own instruments & not needing to be strippers pretending to be musicians!! I MISS THE 80s!!!
Jam and Lewis had nothing to do with The Men All Pause. The Men All Pause was written by both Fenderella (Joyce Irby) and Bernadette Cooper. It was produced by Stephen Shockley and co-produced by Fenderella and Bernadette Cooper.
Bernadette Cooper was the female version of Morris Day lol. Klymaxx was, is and will always be one of my favorite girl groups of any decade. A great time to be growing up 🎶
@ranlive1 It's a music video. All artists "pretend" to play and sing, as the track plays on set. Can't take nothing from them. They are the real deal!
This was during a time when you dressed to the "tee" and went to the club to just dance and have fun. There were great bands, talented singers and their music was kicking. Gone are those days but thank goodness for RU-vid.
Right! I missed those days when you'd actually meet new ppl out in the world, no computers, online dating is just frustration, awful, catfishing wasn't even a term. I miss meeting people the real way. Now we got computers which began separating us from reality then covid finshed the job. Now what do we do? I say somehow Covid was caused by isolation , computers all somehow lowered our immune systems for real life interactions
At the club and when this song and Meeting in the Ladies Room came on, all the girls hit the floor! 55 years old now and these songs still make you want to dance.
80’s music is the best! I’m 49 and still know the words. I grew up skating rink that played this music. I miss those days so bad. Those were the best years of my life.
She didn't take any mess. When Cheryl did what she did (too long a story), Bernadette was NOT having it. You can find it if you search for the Bands Reunited clip, floating around on RU-vid. Bad old audio footage, but the message is clear. Bernadette wanted nothing to do with any reunion that involved Cheryl.
Bernadette Cooper went out and found all these talent and the rest is History, of course she was the restless one drumming and all .❤❤❤❤❤❤. I miss you .😘
Gosh I miss the way women dressed in the 80's, they still managed to look sexy while sophisticated at the same time, I especially love the leather pants the singer is wearing (I love women in leather pants).
Vanessa Frogge not ALL closets! Found a V2 Versace black blazer @ Savers the sorters clearly blinked on & I got it for $11 & sold it on eBay months later for $333 & change😎😎😎 It didn't fit so☹️
@@DT-we2ye Well, she pressed the hell outta those buttons. Just say you hate successful, awesome women who've done things you'll never do and get it over with. Bye, ashy.
As a kid, I would sing, "The men have paws when I walk into the room." In my 20s: "The menopause when I walk into the room." I have jacked up so many songs as a kid. Thanks for getting me straight, RU-vid.
Pure talent, sexiness and brains! You can still have the package without showing you azz - young girls today -plz take notes! I Still love you Klymaxx!
Plain Dealing Woman don't have to show your tale much like this new generation of females thinking show everything today. The fact that you are a woman is power it self.
I remember when this song came out back in the 80s this is when music was outstanding I am 59 years young almost 60 years young and I am still listing to this song today in 2024
Big facts. Even today. The older I get the more I see princes handprint on almost every band worth their salt. It's crazy how much influence he had on everybody from The Minneapolis sound to Janelle, to Her to Bruno. Just awesome.
Those were the best days . So sorry for what's happening to this world 🌎 Gotta make something interesting happen if you're expecting a great time 🎉🎈🤸♂️🎊🥁🎸🕺💃
I know the men did because they were fine as wine! Also, they appear so confident and energetic when they perform. I just love to see them step with assurance. They certainly weren't bashful or boring.
I know I was lookin' good, I had my Kenneth Cole shoes on My Gianni Versace blue leather suit My nails were done and my hair was fierce And I was riding in a Cooper's limousine, don't you want to ride? I was at home feelin' sleazy So I went down to the speak easy As soon as my feet hit the door I had all attention from the dance floor Don't you know the men all pause? When I walked into the room the men all pause The men all pause when I walked into the room The men all pause and the brides held their grooms And they all sang the same old tune Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa check me out Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa Starin' faces startin' to get tired I wanted to get out and go for a ride Maybe this boredom created my hunger So I said, "Pull over at the local fat burger."
I know I was lookin' good I had my Kenneth Cole shoes on My Gianni Versace blue leather suit My nails were done and my hair was fierce And I was riding in a Cooper's limousine Don't you want to ride
I used to do the poor version. I know I was looking good. I had my Kmart shoes on My Sears & Roebuck Blue polyester suit My nails were chipped And my hair was falling out. And I was waiting for the Metro bus Don't you want to wait?
when bad ass jam would come on when I was about 9 yrs of age I used to hate when it was about to go off. How I miss "Friday Night Videos"!!!! wasn't nuthin like it in the early 80's. Times were FUN back then!
it doesn't have the AUTHENTIC sex appeal of the music back in the day. just a bunch of singers singing about sex and being raunchy... in a manufactured way.
"I try to walk in, shy and unnoticed, the men turned away from their burgers and sodas, The focus was on me, I guess admiring good taste, I tried to play it off, but assurance was all over my face!" Thanks Lashona, for bring that line to my attention:-).
