KNBC-TV 6pm News, August 5, 1985 

This was the first day of KNBC’s “Channel 4 News” era. New sets, music, graphics and branding. Also the start of a golden era as the station’s ratings and prestige began to climb.

Those were the glorious days when the news hour used to start with anchors introduced like in opening credits to a TV series.
