PURE DEFENSE, TIMING, SPACING, TURTLING, POKING ON ANOTHER LEVEL, using the time to kill your opponent is just mind-blowing. He really deserved to win EVO 2022.
Yes yes yes sure of course knee is a genius and all of that, but when i turtle and use strategy like time over to win i get so many insults and get called so many names you can't even imagine. But knee is evo champion so okay i guess. Fucking tekken toxic community.
I feel like he was hiding this aggressive playstyle for way too long just to surprise everyone that studied his playstyle by watching him play on stream.
@@Ryujin7 I feel like he realised his usual style of defensive play isn't as effective as it used to be, especially against the Pakistani community. He's adapted, what an absolute monster. Really happy that he finally won
to me he's the G.O.A.T of esports even. what he did for the scene. to this day he's this like almost mysterious korean demon that destroys everyone. bro is a living legend i hope i can shake his hand someday. i wonder if his handshakes are plus on hit.
I have to be honest... I think knee just reach the highest skill and performance of the entire Tekken 7 legacy. Never seen before someone dominating like this with so much difference...Arslan was completely a monster in 2019, but this year Knee, omg completely crazy. Brilliant! He looks like a robot. Congrats to him. For me, this is the best performance of all the time in t7
@@jinemperortk4567 Are you saying that they won just for that? And anyway, they are not broken. What about geese akuma fahk Leroy Julia Lydia devil jin etc etc? They just won because they were better.
@@Vx1Hawk Lydia and Dvj are not good (Lydia isn't better than them) and (Dvj extremely hard to play him well) the only one who can show Dvj is good at high Lvl is Qudans.
@@JIX9ISLER1986 and sidesteps into low parries into sidesteps into backsteps into anything, and then whiff punish or parry. you couldn't even hit him when you catch him sidestepping cause he's either blocking, ducking, fuzzy guarding, or low parrying, or out of range. and his mind games, he dashes up to you, you try to bait him, he's already 2 korean back dashes away from you. then he comes in again and you fall for his mind game. complete mental breakdown of Khan.
Knee's movements surpassed any player I have ever seen in Tekken this tournament. sidestepping, ducking, low parrying, backstepping, fuzzy guarding, and whiff punishing constantly. and unlike other players, knee used feng's signature moves in between all the constant fundamentals to add layers to his mind games. the Knee in EVO 2022 was a complete fighter. Arslan was known for movements, but not even Arslan has movements like this. This is the first time I saw the actual 3D capability of Tekken 7. It was just 2.5D up until now.
Man knee is the perfect example of how far diligence and persistence can bring you. Absolutely jaw-dropping performance from him, so glad he finally won an evo championship, it was so clear how much he wanted it.
The most remarkable thing about Knee is his regularity. I think that what makes him on his own category. This video just show that. He was two times in grand final and one time in losers final for three Evo in enters (2016, 2017, 2019) before getting the first place in 2022. This is simply outstading.
As much as this was a pleasure to watch, when Khan cried and Arslan hugged him I almost cried myself. This was a feel good tournament. Yes I wish Book won, but this tournament was pure banger after a banger
@@josephsua7246 i used to respect him when he's stick to jin.....then leroy release and book just jump ship, he just played jin again because leroy got nerf....now he's using akuma & lidia more often, he always drop jin when he think there's a better character for him
Knee has a favorable match up at this tournament. Played only two top players and both are Geese users in which knee is very good at. Chikurin has to play Doujin early in the pools.
This was the first evo I attended and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Got to witness this man's hard work pay off in the flesh. Congrats knee you deserve this :')
I agree. Knee is like Lebron to me (and assume there is no michael Jordan) At times there were players who surpassed him, but never too long. Over the last 10 years, he always stayed one of the best if not the best. This year he is the best.
The only reason this godlike grand final didn't satisfy me is Knee playing vs Khan. By no means Khan is bad player, but Knee beating Arslan (this rivalry is iconic) could be even better ending for Tekken 7.
@@BGuhChannel27 He is not saying Khan is bad, he's an amazing player. He said "by no means is Khan bad," which means he is saying Khan is good but that he would prefer if the grand finals was Knee vs Arslan instead of Knee vs Khan.
I dont think Arslan had it this time around. Getting double no round browned by shadow??? He said it himself that he needed to refocus on one game. Knee would have massacred Arslan that weekend. Khan had the best shot for sure.
I think this is the first time Knee played 1 character the entire major tournament. Something I've been preaching in reddit comments he should be doing for a few years now.
Knee is the GOAT. I think he needed Arslan to come onto the scene to really motivate him. Can't wait to see the TWT finals this year. Been missing them the last few years.
I always feel for Chanel having to spar him on the regular 'xD Made up for him winning, pure dominance and a well deserved 1st place That Jungle outpost movement was just insane to watch tho Big respect to Khan for trying, was hype af for us at home seeing the best Tekken in Finals. Ace roundup Ochoto! 👌
During Chanel's stream he said that Infested(New DRX Member) really helped well for Knee's sparring partner, he watched other guys play so he can mimic it.
It's crazy how knee went from being aggresive most of the tournament to becoming so patient and defensive towards the end like you could not get a hit on him without him countering you back or trading pokes. He's so good man much deserved win.
The tekken god has obtain his throne once again. And with some authority too. All the best to knee. And for khan damn I can't wait to see him in more tournaments what a beast
When I saw Knee using Feng I was like, oh yeah he gonna go far again simply because Feng (much like Knee showed) is a very strong poke/ punish based character. Idk why people sleep on the character. He's not top tier but he isn't bad. Pair him with a beast of a player and you have an unpredictable force. Glad knee finally brought it home for T7
Feng is a good char but not many pros invested enough to translate into playing it in tourneys. Im pretty sure they all tried feng just to see how good it was but for many different reasons didnt stick to it. Maybe just didnt like the char, different playstyle, thought he was good but not good enough for tourneys, good but not worth to spend time on it, etc. If feng was a really good char to the point of being broken, it would have been like evo japan 2020 when everyone played leroys. And the pros who main feng never had good results with him. Simply put its just knee with his playstyle and integrating the char's abilities perfectly which makes feng look better than he is. There is no point in nerfing feng. Knee will just find another character to do the same thing and go again.
These days, if u watch his stream playing tekken, every time he is playing i thought he is trolling his enemy by time management and letting enemy be pressured by time limit and forcing his opponent to make mistakes 50/50 AND BTW, FENG' IRON WALL PARRY IS BONKERS THIS SEASON
Knee already pick up the gameplay against pakistani players. Back in days he cant do anything but now is a different story. Kudos to all the players tho. They did a great evo this year for the tekken scene
