If you only listened to this without watching the games/knowing the results you would think the Knicks completely dominated this series whereas if it weren't for the crazy sequence of mistakes by the officials in game 2 the series would have been tied, which would be kind of fitting after two close games and the other two won rather comfortably by each team. Following this "they are up 3:1 so they must be so much better" logic if the refs made the right calls in game 2 (usually blaming the refs is pointless as you have a whole game to make up for it but in this case they clearly altered the result) after game 3 you would have to praise the sixers about how they "solved" the knicks and are on their way to winning the series and all that would have changed would be those missed calls (unless you are one of those people that think that after very close first two games knicks would have skipped a game cuz they were so confident about their home court ^^). It's competitive sports so obviously results matter but as someone that played at a fairly high level you should know that when two teams fairly evenly matched play each other often times little external things might decide the results in the short run so it is quite disappointing to see you try to fit the narrative to the results (like all those other people that love listening to their own voice) so that some moron after the series ends 4:1 or whatever doesn't laugh at you for saying that the series could have gone either way. Having said that, it is after all Cowherd's network so a superficial analysis shouldn't be all that surprising...

I can forgive a wrong prediction, but to say the sixers would “blow them out” in ANY game is analyst malpractice. When’s the last time the Knicks were blown out?

Jalen Brunson is not encroaching on superstardom. He is a flat out superstar, plus his leadership is so beyond Embiid’s leadership it is not close in anyway. Embiid is a childish, over emotional man child. His violent outbursts in game 3 was an embarrassment to him and the NBA for giving him a pass on intentionally trying and succeeding on injuring Mitchell Robinson out of the series. Brunson will never act like that ever, because he is an adult emotionally. Embiid made such a big deal about winning the MVP. That’s was an embarrassment. Jalen Brunson doesn’t care about that. When asked about his individual accomplishments he says I think I will think about that when I am retired. It’s about the team winning the championship, not individual honors. Embiid doesn’t understand that and never will. Would you trade Embiid for Brunson? Never ever.
