The Philadelphia 76ers bounced back in Game 5 behind Tyrese Maxey's 46-point performance to fend off elimination for now. However, Colin Cowherd is not buying into Philly despite Maxey's hero antics. Watch as he explains why the Knicks will hold on and if the 76ers should ultimately trade Joel Embiid. The 2024 NFL Draft wrapped up last week and six QBs were taken in the first 12 picks. The Denver Broncos reportedly believe that Bo Nix is "as good as any QB" in the draft and ready to take off immediately. Knicks don't have the assets to trade for KD. Their picks are almost useless. Mid 20s picks in the NBA have been straight up just sold for cash before. Weak picks and no Brunson or probably OG makes the offer laughable.

On the cap situation yes and no. The only reason teams are bailed out is because cap space also goes up and they keep kicking it down the road. If cap space remained static for 3 years some teams would literally have to go to skin and bones undrafted free agents, such as Saints. I'm all for taking swings but mathematically that's why it can happen.

The Knicks have basically a 7 man rotation without Randle and still it took a meltdown from the Knicks at the end of game 5 for Philly to win. Disagree totally, 76ers should really be up 3-2 and in control of the series. If the Knicks don’t get some miracle rebounding late in game 2 and some questionable officiating, I would take the 76ers to end this in 6. They might not have the better team but they have the better stars in my opinion.

Miracle rebounding? This is how I know you have no idea what you're talking about. The game before the playoffs the Knicks outrebounded Philly by 20. The first game you got outrebounded by 22. Hartenstein outrebounded your boy Embiid to keep them alive in game 2. It's no miracle Knicks have owned Philly in rebounding several times.

NIX will be the best QB in this draft for many reasons let's start off with the perfect fit Denver is the perfect fit for him stop he is by far the most accurate arm the quickest processor in this draft Denver 100% got their man I don't care what all these pundits have to say about them reaching for him if you identify a future franchise quarterback you go for it and that's exactly what Denver did I can argue that he's in a better place right now then all five quarterbacks that got taken before him if anyone knows football they know that he fits the system perfectly and to put the cherry on top they drafted themselves his number one wide receiver I suggest everyone to watch their highlights together because they have a connection like non other when everyone doubts a certain player that player tends to show up everyone how about Mr irrelevant where is he today I think he just made it to a super bowl and nobody thought he was going to be good all it takes is one team won coach to believe in you and if you end up with the right situation and the right coach and the right system you will be great and successful and something tells me bo landing in the right franchise

Neither team is structured for a late playoff run. Embiid is playing far from 100% due to injury. At this juncture, Knicks are just not a good playoff team. Too much Brunson.

The Knicks are the ONLY team in the NBA that was able to win 50 games with basically 4 of their 5 starters injured this season. I mean where was the Sixers when Embiid was out? You do realize that Randle is injured? That's like 25 points taken away from the starting lineup. So where do you think that's coming from? It just goes to show how good Brunson really is. Go back and look at how Maxey looked when Embiid was out in the regular season. And to think some people have the audacity to say that Maxey is better than Brunson!

At least with JJ he's only 21 and has a strong arm. There's upside there. It's just a roll of dice given what he was asked to do in college. With Nix, he's 24 and physically closer to someone like Dalton..that's ok if you just want a middle of the pack at best starter. He's not as talented as Brees. Similarities with underneath stuff, but Brees had a way better deep ball and anticipation and long developing plays.

Plus i guarantee the Knicks won't lose the game again if they get another chance to be up by 6 points with 28 seconds left. So in actuality, Philly is lucky the Knicks made a mistake and will just have to prove it in Philly on their own homecourt. That would actually be better to win twice in Philly!

Bo Nix is a 5th-6th year senior who pretty much has met its ceiling, all he has to do now is adapt to the Broncos offense. he can compartmentalize plays that veteran Russell Wilson couldn’t even understand. but he is NOT the best QB of the draft.
