Good job, the sharpening of the knives must be done carefully so as not to break the edge of the blade. There is a guy here who walks by with a truck and who sharpens knives, scissors etc. It's really handy, I don't know if it exists in your area.

Thanks my friend . We do have shops that sharpen tool cut keys and other stuff but they are not very good. I know years ago we had a mobile blacksmith who sharpened knives, that’s all long gone in this country I think today, people just buy new Chuck away society. it would be easy to fix that pivot point by just drilling out the threads and then putting you lock nut on top.

Enlightening my friend :-) I honestly didnt have a clue about how folk go about it, its great to see your welding coming in handy, its a super useful skill :-) I really fancied one of those bad boy bowies they make out of leaf springs, would love to have a bash at making one of those down the line and with this I atleast have an idea now on how to work the edge :-p A nice simple but clever setup, handy bit of kit to have put together nice job :-) Hope you are well and have a good weekend down there :-p
