Hey Brother, I do like this knife. Nice sheath. Nice length and quite thick steel. About perfect for a walk in deer hunting or outdoor / camping knife. This one and the Mount Laguna look just about perfect for that task. Today I will field trial a fish filleting knife! 50th birthday yesterday and my Bro is taking me fishing on his boat for the day! Hope you week is going great. Cheers Dave 🇺🇸 🇳🇿
There's something to love about knives that size. Makes me think of how for tens of thousands of years when we were making tools from stone, most stone knives could only be a few inches long and had to be wide.
I picked up a Tops Delta Unit 3 this summer. Ended up using it more than my esee 3. Love small fixed for camp grounds. I'll have to check this one out at my local knife guy. Nice vid.
Thanks for the review scab! I also like the belly on that, I usually skin deer but the other day I skinned a cow and the hide is next level. A knife like this would have done great
Got my second one last night love this knife. I have a lot of expensive knives that are in the 3.5-inch range. The Design, Quality, and Cost if you take everything into consideration I have nothing that can touch this knife it's that good. As Scab says I'm not the QVC but if you want a fantastic EDC fixed blade you can't go wrong for 159.00 bucks. This is the only knife I bought a second one because if I ever happen like it was lost or stolen at least I have another one. I'm with you brother I think it's the belly I love so much on this knife. Great Review Brother. At the time of this post, WTG has both the black and brown handle models in stock if you don't have one and got 160 bucks you can part with I'd grab one you will be happy you did !!!!!
Hey brother two is better than one!! And that's the reason I have two as well man if one gets lost stolen whatever I have a backup I absolutely adore this knife
I love this knife all out of scale! First it went to my pocket fixed blade EDC. That's something I'm into over 18 months. I was stoked it came in one of my best liked steels N 690 Co. That is a big YAHOO!. What makes me confused is I don't normally go for an all belly curve blade profile shape like Nomad EDC has. And for another mind boggler is the handle is "just enough" and usually I go for generous over size handle. I never had a knife that wAs just enough and no less. Whatever! I didn't design it and it would be nothing like it is if I did and I still am crazy about this knife. It strikes me that lots of other guys are saying praises for it too! I think it's time for a popular fixed blade! A knife to bring us together. Cheers!
I'm not as into small pocket fixed blades as you, smaller than 5" I tend to go for folders for ease of carry. But there's no denying it works. I like it. Some good demonstrations here, just showing what the tool can do.
Appreciate you my brother I carry these more out of necessity than anything If the job changes I'll still probably carry one but move closer to the folders
I really like the nomad I don’t have one yet but I’m saving up my allowance that my wife lets me have from my pay check lol and as soon as I have enough and if they are still available it’s mine lol. I do have the Mt Laguna and I love it I carry it everyday. Scab I know you carry the Mt Laguna a lot and the nomad a lot , do you have a favorite between the two? Have a great Wednesday and I’ll be watching your live stream tonight.
Hey brother love the video I know I would don't you also have the first production run with the Hitachi steel I thought I seen you with the original version as well
@@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors yeah that's what I thought because the handle has actually got grooves cut in it that's what I thought I was going to get when I ordered one but they changed the handle and the blade steel still love it though
Nice demo brother, that would make a great hunting knife. I could skin a deer with that easily. I actually like smaller knives for doing that. In fact I’ve used that little buck lite folder of mine to skin 50 or so deer in a season(my brother in law is a meat cutter). 👍👍
The new run is actually a little cheaper than the Hitachi run was when it came out. I love the Hitachi run but don't have one of these yet. This run they changed a few things on the sheath and the handles aren't waffle coaned
The edge is held thus far now I've only had it a month but I've done a lot of cutting with it a lot. I'll be able to tell you better in another couple of weeks So far I'm really impressed with it
Thank you scab WTG is my number one maker right now so it doesn't surprise me that their N690 is good..although I would be all over this design in AEBL
