I love when the video freeze when the killing blow was done at the end. Very dramatic! I hope I will get enough money to buy a harness one day. I would absolutely love to do some Harnischfechten. Your videos make me dream!
@@dequitem It does look awesome BTW! I aim for either a gothic harness or possibly an early 16th century maximillian harness. On another subject, I actually might join my local HEMA club as I'm interested in longsword. However, I have some some pain issues in my hips when I do torso rotations. In your experience, is fighting with a longsword hard on the hips or is it manageable?
@@philipped.r.6385 Unfortunately, many longsword attacks get extra momentum from a hip movement. If you stiffen your hips, your attacks may lose speed and power. In general, however, many techniques can also be performed without hip movement.
@@dequitem Thanks for the answer! I might have to check it with a physician before going in then. I won't be able to persevere if I'm wounded everytime I train.
the fact these two are clearly skilled but it's still clumsy looking and deadly makes it so much better than the dressed up nonsense we've gotten so far.
Alright I'm tired so I only made it through to this point from the beginning comment. What I learned was: my fascination with armor and weapons and gothic/medieval fighting clearly extends far beyond my video gaming/reading hobbies. I have already booked a course at the crucible in the Bay Area in the US that starts in a month and a half, for a 5 week course in blacksmithing. I'm not gonna lie, your forging videos, while very obviously showcasing the AMOUNT OF TIME it takes, as well as the knowledge and skill required, really made me want to attempt to forge something like a dagger or a sword. Just to do it. So, good luck to me. Thanks for these videos, I will finish up tomorrow. Its been a treat, and your wide shots on intro and outro are absolutely breathtaking, your camera work is incredible. Cheers
No that can't be right. I mean what is more plausible that armor didn't work or that Hollywood which created braveheart (and come on the celts there are only of by a few centuries) is bad at being historically accurate...yeah armor didn't work. Clearly
Danke dafür dass du selbst dann einen Kommentar verfasst wenn du das Video schon kennst und mir nur einen gefallen tun willst den algorithmus zu pushen! Danke dir!
