Nice descrip Chris. Hope you don't mind me throwing in my 2 cents ;-) I have been specializing in the N89 Turbo Cast for over a decade now. 15" N89's(Turbo Cast) were '82/83 only and ONLY on the WS6/WS7 cars and I lost track of how many stories I have heard of people/wheel shops tossing them in trash or scrapped them cause to most of the public, the rims looked ugly and once a cap or two fell off, it was game over for them. So that's why they are SUPER HTF and $$$$$ these days. 14" Turbo Cast were more available on the 82-84 cars and not many 84's got em just the BASE trans am and some Firebird S/E cars. 14" sets have gone up in value recently seen them sell for as low as $250 a set in past and some sell close to $700 on ebay !!!! Official 1982 Trans Am tIres are the Goodyear Eagle GT's but those are $$$$ since Kelsey tire is the ONLY exclusive seller of them. The other tires that come close to OEM are the BF Goodrich Radial T/A's which I have on my personal 1982 KITT ;)
@@brucehamilton9737 Me too! Did you attach them with zip ties or are they holding as is? I haven't been able to drive mine properly yet, hence my question?
And they are aluminium which scrap yards will use to get money for them. Not knowing they were in the show and worth more then what the recycle plant would give them.
Eagle GTs are Show accurate but, what about fitting taller or wider tires? to fill in the gap to the fender a little better than the stock 215/65/15 tires. I think some 245/60/15 for the rear and 235/70/15 for the front would give it a beefier look.
+PhenomProductions23 yea you could do a taller tire but it wouldn’t be show accurate ... it might look better. I just lowered mine 2 inches like they did on the show to get rid of wheel gap
1969L78Nova dude get off my page. Stop being obsessed with me. I’ve already filed a harassment about you. Everyone on the knight rider forum has already warned me about how bipolar you are P.s I know you’re trying to reach out to my wife too ... a fair warning that a police report had already been submitted
Do a vid about the front fender air deflectors that kitt didn't have after the pilot episode, show these guys if they wanna claim their car is tv accurate leave these off, most don't believe kitt didn't have them due to that one screen shot of the driver front wheel going down the road that they reused in every episode..thumbs up to your accurate replica
+the bandit totally agree! I love them on my wife’s 82 but they look out of place on kitt and kitt did NOT have them. That was a stock trans am that they used for the footage! Thanks for watching!
I had an 82 Recaro Trans Am, I still have one of the original Hub Caps! I had a built 94 T-top, this is short clip. Gotta go with the 15 inch wheels. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yjXydaC2izY.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--l8EDJLDGps.html These are cool painted Corvette Rims, a great look also, with rounded TransAm script decals.
