Good timing on the topic of row gauge, when told to knit 7 " no decreases on a sleeve, I immediately converted that to number of rows based on my swatch. This was reassuringly confirmed as accurate because when I did the body , slid it on cords to try on , (pre sleeves) , I was not pleased with the length and might have kept going , I switched to another project while I soaked and laid out sweater on netted dryer in the shower. What a difference in the way it hung, the fit across my torso , and the length . Also, side note , realized how much the yarn bled after soaking , so that worked out for 2 reasons. In the scheme of things I might have saved myself some time by taking some time :D Love the knit talks !

Thank you for answering my question! One of my projects this month is to frog a sweater that was way too big. Looking forward to learning how to refresh yarn. As always, I appreciate the way you explain things!
