I agree, Top down sweaters all the way for me. Sometimes sitting on things brings new ideas. I love how u stripped that cardigan. It looks great!

The Abbeyhill by Ysolda is what sold me on bottom up - it is a very well fitting sweater with neat decreases and short rows in the yoke!

That's a great idea to use the odd skein out for the ribbing on your Dartmoor. I can maybe, barely, sorta tell if I squint 😅 Works great!

I realized when I was editing that it’s really not at all visible in video, but it’s more obvious in person or in photos 😅 I’m making it work anyway!

Great podcast as always! I’m also a huge buffy fan glad to hear JM was such a sweetheart! Also your outfits are always so amazing. If you ever wanted to do a video on styling your knits/ sharing your fave stores and brands I would watch the hell out of that 😍

I like the new style! And definitely do what works for you! My only thought was that I liked previously that you went into such detail on FOs, especially your question of “will I knit this again?” Would love if you brought that back! Also for your extra green yarn, could you make a Pom Pom for the antler hat?

Thank you for the feedback! I will definitely include the question of whether or not I will knit something again (it totally slipped my mind for the Antler Cardigan!). I’ll try to remember to do a decently deep dive when talking about finished item too. I’m not really a fan of yarn pom poms so it didn’t cross my mind to do one for the Antler Toque, but I was glad to give the extra yarn to my friend for any future mendings 😊

Oh, and another thing: I love your plan for showing off stash yarn, which is something that so pro joy for those wonderful yarns we all already have (instead of only highlighting newly bought yarns, thus promoting consumption over cherishing lovely yarns by themselves.)

Yay, thank you! I’m really hoping people like it because it feels more natural to me right now than doing single pattern reviews like my previous podcasts. And everything is all about following the joy right now 😊 The book recommendations are definitely here to stay!

Yes! It was definitely important for me to find a different way of sharing yarn. Showing off recent acquisitions just doesn’t work for me, mostly because I don’t always buy new yarn, but also being I just don’t like that aspect in the podcasts I watch. I definitely prefer when podcasters show off their stashes 😍

Hi Whitney, so good to see you! I'm watching the video right now and I really like the new podcast format, I think it's kinda nice that the podcast is evolving and changing with what you enjoy and feel right at the moment, it feels very authentic cause we all change and evolve. I started watching the video and knitting today, as sort of like a comforting time since I received some bad news, and need something to cheer me up. I’m all caught up now! Congrats on your marriage, your cardigan is perfection! You’ve inspired me to knit more garments. I will have to do an inventory of my wardrobe and see where there are holes. You’ve also inspired me to prioritize reading. I have like 5 partially read books so I’m going to finish those off so I can start fresh in 2024. I have oodles of books to read (including ACOTAR 🫣) because I buy books every time I go to the SPCA thrift store. How could I not? 😁

I'm with you there! I'm always picking up books from thrift stores or used bookstores! If you're ever in Dartmouth, I highly recommend Dartmouth Book Exchange!!! They're my favourite used bookstore! I'm so happy I've inspired you to knit more garments ☺️
