Vlogmas is back! I had so much fun doing weekly vlogmas episodes last year so I decided to do it again this year. Thanks for the shoutout! I so appreciated the mental health chat at the end. The holidays can be hard! I only vlogged for a week but found it to be more mentally draining than I anticipated. Theres a fine line between documenting your life and "producing" your life to an extent for content. It's good to know when to step back and take some time for ourselves. I hope you can find rest and relaxation over the holiday, looking forward for whatever you have in store for 2024!

You're so welcome Amanda! I've really enjoyed your content this year and how you've grown your channel. I have plans for next year already and I think I'm going to do something other than vlogmas next December, probably something I can film in advance and then enjoy December without making videos 😂 Hope you have a lovely holiday ❤️

Hi Whitney❤ I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling well and I understand that it can be ever worse when you're feeling down atounf the holidays. I also had a "not so merry" Christmas a couple years ago, I wasn't in a good place mentally and I didn't enjoyed the cheer, so I can feel what you said. I really hope that you'll feel better soon, I wish you and your beautiful family (puppies included) happiness, health and good moments for these last days of the year and for 2024. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos and see you in the next ones (whenever you’ll feel ready, there's no rush)😊

Thank you for another lovely podcast and it is so refreshing Whitney to listen to your thought process when sharing some of your own struggles. Mental health affects us all in so many different ways so thank you for your honesty when discussing such a sensitive topic. Also good for you to take some time out for yourself and listening inwards in what you need right now. Hi Whitney. I love your podcasts. You’re cheerful, friendly and inspirational. I also watch Laura Penrose along with a few others who have become my firm faves. It’s funny as I feel I get to know podcasters like a friend and yet you do t get to know us. Often I want to encourage podcasters. I admire their courage to do what they do and I appreciate their “company” and all I have learnt to improve my knitting skills. Thank you.

The struggle with Christmas is super relatable. It can be such a tough time of year for a lot of people and I’m glad being open about it and not pressuring yourself to be holly jolly. Last year, my aunt was in palliative care with cancer and passed away on New Year’s Day so Christmas was not holly jolly, though we did have fun with the kids when my brother visited. I was hoping for a re-do this year and I was doing really well up until last weekend. I feel like my mojo has waned and that’s ok. It is what it is.

I'm so sorry about your aunt, that must have been really tough to get through last year. I think it's getting easier to normalize not feeling festive and not being okay over the holidays. Whatever the next week looks like for you, take care of yourself ❤️

Just found you and love your authenticity and honesty. Christmas and other holidays have not always been a happy time for me and many others so don’t feel pressured. My mantra is “ you do you and I’ll do me” for many things in life now. I’m from Australia so loved seeing your local area. See you in the new year.

Hahaha, I AM SO PROUD OF YOU! Both for gettin' a lil tipsy and for socializing with anxiety at your work event Go YOU BABE! And I'm very grateful to you for your support through my own first Vlogmas so I thought I'd remind you of what you told me, your mental health goes first above it all, especially Vlogmas. I know you know, but if you don't do Vlogmas next year, that's ok! The holidays can be joyous and wonderful for some and full of heaviness and hardships for others. wait, is your MiL's cowl not bright enough to count in the KAL or does the KAL not start until 2024 when you expect to have that cowl completed?

Liv's Rainbow KAL runs from Dec. 10 - Apr. 10, but I'm knitting a special sweater as my participating project in the KAL. I knitted the dickie for my MIL in a couple days.
