Great picks for patterns!! I'm knitting a Cami No 4 but am planning to make straps that tie and extend it into a dress :) I also have been eye-ing the square neck camisole. I have a store-bought square neck cami that's fairly similar and I wear it ALL the time. It would be nice to have a hand made one in another color! Super excited to see what you pick. And your photos are GORGEOUS!

Liked the sound of the #1 Tank. Looks nicely shaped for purpose. Only thing I’d add is knitting in cotton it tends to stretch out a bit in use. Maybe do a swatch? Have fun knitting whatever you choose in that lovely yellow.

You can do #1 tank i like the arm shapings and the neck, like you say the ties are going to be essential. You can smash this ❤❤

I recommend the Costal Tank by Charissa Lam! The pattern originally shows a crossed/racer back, but it's super easy to modify to be two straps and it hides your bra, and it's a square neckline! It's so pretty and versatile and the detailing on the increases and straps are perfect - I've already made three and I'm working on a fourth one because it's such a staple in my wardrobe now (which is saying something since it's on 3 mm needles!) It's ribbing and fingering weight. Also it has 18 sizes!

I literally just finished watching a RU-vid video by Mel Makes Stuff all about knitting with plant based fibers which has great tips on the subject of choosing patterns for those types of yarns. I’m on the search too for knitting my first summer garments and have bought several patterns I’m considering. I’m working on a small project first in Truboo and realized pretty it’s going to be totally unsuitable for a tee shirt type garment for me (it’s very very splitty and would snag very easily), so learning about matching summer patterns with summer appropriate yarns.

Those roadtrip pictures / moodboard 😍😍 I love the practicality of the last tank you showed. The tied straps are ingenious because if the cotton top grows length wise, you can just retie them to fit you properly again. Other than that I could also imagine any of Jessie Maed’s tops, she has such nice summer patterns 🥰

I also am a full time dairy cow 😅 I have a 6 month old! The last one with the ties seems like a great options especially for nursing mamas! It’s so cute! And would potentially fit really well longer term(w the ties and the ribbing) with constantly changing boob sizes 😅
