Happy birthday, Lisa! Wow! You amaze me in all your knitting….all those beautiful yarns! I could almost feel each one as you described content. I’ve been knitting a lot too! I have three pairs of socks on the needles and still working on my husband’s sweater. His sweater was going to be a Christmas present but it’s been a complicated pattern! Socks are so easy to take somewhere so I seem to always have socks on needles.

I enjoyed seeing your knitting and plans. Enjoy spring in Spain.

My birthday is Sept. 2 and it occasionally falls on Labor Day.

Happy Birthday…. I remember turning 49 and 50… 50’s were some of the greatest years, very freeing. 60’s are even better. I’ll be 69 this August. Looking forward to seeing what the 70’s will bring. I started a RU-vid channel and it’s a slow go in terms of subscribers. My channel is a marrying of knitting and psychology (I’m a retired counsellor). Any tips on how to grow my channel. (CounselorSue - Creativity & Living Life). I live in Orangeville about an hour north of Toronto. I think one time you mentioned living in Toronto, or being from there… not sure.

Sure…learn to crochet! I used to do both and I found crochet just easier to pick up and put down. In the early '70's my sister crocheted each of us bikinis. Out of PHENTEX…..haha. We were both teenagers, she was in college and I was in high school. They were tiny and cute…my poor father had fits, but mom let us wear them.

Oh do learn to crochet! It will add so many options for you. It is “knit adjacent”…not REALLY adding another hobby. You can use your leftover yarns in lots of neat ways with crochet. Happy birthday!
