Hey Carson, congrats on your sweet baby boy!! I've been catching up on all of your videos and it's been so fun watching your journey. You are an absolute delight and I am really looking forward to more episodes!! Hugs, Judy

my baby boy is 9mos and let me tell you - I know exactlyyyy where you are with the naps. its can be so hard to not have the time for yourself when our sweet lil ones find so much comfort in our arms. it does get easier I promise!! he naps in his crib now during the day - still refuses to go to bed without me but I knit by candlelight at bedtime once I nurse him to sleep next to me! its just the season we are in and we find pockets of time for ourself, you are doing amazing mama 🤍🤍🤍

Hi Carson! That construction is called a saddle shoulder! And then a raglan I guess for the sleeves :) Or not haha who knows right?! :')

It looks like a contiguous set in sleeve, but 🤷‍♀️

I'm sure you've tried, but contact naps in the carrier helped so much to keep my hands free for knitting and other things :) now that Arthur is exclusively napping in his crib, I kinda miss it lol

I love your version of the Magical Toadstool socks! Also, I totally get the brain space thing. Even though my kiddos are older (my youngest just turned 3!), there are only certain projects we can accomplish with cuddles. :)

Your color palette is always so beautifully earthy, even with these pops of pinks you are playing with now. Love it! I just finished the king of Scars duology which was really great! Now I'm reading Eregon and loving it. Apparently the Eregon series is super well known and loved, can't believe it took me this long to even hear about it. Thanks for the episode! Happy knitting! 🥰

Your hair is definitely making a statement! I'm so glad that you can keep knitting while busy with baby Wilder. Right now I'm listening to the second of 3 books in a series, Hawthorne Legacy. It's sort of fantasy, to do with figuring out complex puzzles, and such. I don't normally read fantasy, but I'd recommend this series.

I always read on my kindle when feeding my son. When he began to crawl, I used to sit on the floor, he would play next to me and I could knit.

That sage yarn is soooo pretty! A Moon Set Tee would be a great pattern for it and you could even make the sleeves 3/4 length for spring 🌿 I’m currently reading a new cozy mystery book about a family owned record shop in Texas called Vinyl Resting Place 📚

I also recently got some Plucky Knitter primo fingering yarn that was on clearance at my local yarn store! I got two skeins in garnet martini - it's a tonal deep purple. I am currently planning to make a cumulus tee - since I have two skeins I don't think it's quite enough for a full length sweater. Excited to see what you decide to make!!

I just had my fourth little one last month and nursing and knitting is always my favorite time of the day. I love thinking of all the things I've gotten to make with a baby in my lap! Anyways, I just finished reading through the throne of glass series and it really is incredible! I totally recommend it!

I love that series, I have the 4th book in my library waiting to start. I dyed some handspun with black beans a few months ago and its almost that same shade of sage green. I have no idea what to do with it, I typically don't do a lot of color either so I can't wait to see what you do with all those colorful yarns.

That's called saddle shoulder contraction. It's similar to a raglan but the rate of increases are meant to fit the body better than a raglan because they follow the shape of the body rather than a straight 45 deg angle like in a raglan. I didn't understand the difference for a long time either but the top looks really good so far! goo luck not getting pooling. It's always such gamble. Thanks for sharing the books you're reading with us! That series is definitely on my list. Currently I'm getting though the Wheel of Time series but... its slow going. There are sooooooo many books. It's very good and I just finished book eight but holy cow I feel like I need a break. lol. Anyway, glad to see you're still doing well! :) Wishing you the best from the midwest!

Your are inspiring me to cast on a stone knit pattern I have, rad radish socks, scared, but I know it is probably easy. When my first was. Baby along time ago I read the myths of Avalon, which I am sure you have read if you like fantasy, I ripped the book into 3 sections cus it was so big and heavy. Loved a court of Thorns and Roses series, couldn’t get into the glass one, will look at this one, take care,Melissa.

How do you tuck in ends from duplicate stitch? Is it on strand of yarn crossed on the back of the knitting or several cut strands?

Oh my gosh, I just thought of something, if knitting and breastfeeding is called, "knit-feeding", does that mean reading and breastfeeding is called, "breast-reading"??!! LOL 😂😂😂
